No End In Sight To My Medical Problems; I Might Be Dying Slowly by Nobody: 1:52pm On Jul 02, 2017
The first time I became aware of me falling sick was in 2007. I was 26 at the time. Since then it has been a myriad of medical troubles.

It has been cycles of malaria, bacterial infections, disc problems and headache. Every night, I take drugs before I could be able to sleep. I always have antimalarials, antibiotics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and muscle relaxants handy. If malaria symptoms occur, I would take antimalarials and there would be improvement within minutes. And would then complete the dosage in 3 days. By fourth day, symptoms of bacteria infection would occur; I would take ciprofloxacin and get relieved within minutes. Once I complete the dosage, headache would strike, and once aspirin is taken, I get well. But I would keep repeating aspirin every night until gastric ulceration sets in. I would then buy omeprasole and cimetidine to treat ulcer. While ulcer treatment is ongoing, malaria would strike again, and I would take antimalarials. If antimalarials don't work, I would know that the symptoms are bacterial and take antibiotic. If there is no relief, I would combine antimalarials and antibiotic and there would be a relief. It has been like this since 2007. I don't go to hospital again because I have grown to know these symptoms and what doctors would prescribe.

For the past 2 weeks, I have been battling 'herniated disc' problem in my lower back. It started the day I bent down suddenly and I heard a snapping sound at my back bone. I started using norflex, calcium supplement and diclofenac. I feel mild relief because I can't stop my daily hustle to rest while the disc heals. If I dont work in a day, I won't eat or pay bills.

Note that I undergo HIV test almost weekly.

How do the poor tackle medical problems in this hellhole of a country?

Lalasticlal.a, please help me move this to fp.

shocked

I can only imagine your disappointment going weekly for HIV tests and it is still negative.

Don't worry,
It will become positive soon then you won't have to visit labs weekly.

To God be the glory that I'm alive and well. Dupe ti e.

I feel your pain but seek genuine medical attention and God. Ask God to heal you and make the word of God your companion. Since you didn't die since 2007, there is hope for you. He'd heal you, amen.

The above is just my opinion as you can chose to ignore.

read through your write up and i feel really sad about it. your herniated disc is a common occurrence we see regularly in clinic and we are able to help patients that pass through this even from the first visit to our clinic. its really painful and the history is usually the same. patients say they were probably trying to pick an object or bend down for what ever reason and then they get the snap sound at the back and then comes the acute and severe back pain. i may be able to help you also for other complains you laid down up there. you may send a mail to lightbroadway@gmail.com. there i will forward my number to you. wont like to do that here for obvious reasons. hoping you get well soon while i expect to hear from you.

Sorry about what you've been through. But from what I read so far, your health anxiety has turned you into a hypochondriac. I'm sure if you were given a placebo intravenously you will feel well. All I can say is its all in your mind and you will have to purge your mind of the fear of your health status. As far as I am concerned you've taken too much antibiotics between 2007 and now. It's possible that you have messed up your natural bacteria flora and you need to rebuild a fresh colony of friendly bacteria in your system. You can start by taking probiotics or good quality yogurt And see if there are any improvements. I could be wrong though as I am not a doctor but it still is worth a try. Good luck, best wishes!!!

Pls stop self medication, it is the no 1 thing that could kill u. U can't assume a sickness, u hv to be very sure of what u are sick of bf popping those dugs. Your immune system is very very very down. Take vit c 1000 mg once or twice each day bf u take it up to 2 months u will thank your body. Always eat fruits and try associate with people to ease bad thoughts and worries. Lastly, u may seek spiritual help to cast out some evil spells that makes you sick like you you are a marine being and don't know it, they can make you very uncomfortable with sicknesses until u accept or settle them. This is Africa, don't be ignorant .

My brother the major issue may be your mindset towards your health..... Trust me your mind can play very funny games against you.
First if all....... Stop the negativity cos your issue may not be as complicated as your think....
Just as we have PLACEBO EFFECT we also have NAECEBO EFFECT
And please minimize your intake of antibiotics...... If theres anything killing you slowly, it's the antibiotics youre taking cos your making those bacteria more immune.

Like they said in the earlier post.... Change of lifestyle may be all that your need.

Seek help from family and friends

Arrange a lot of money and travel abroad to get a permanent solution

All these our quack doctors don't know anything than to prescribe drugs to you

The more drugs you take, the more damage you cause to your kidney

Trust me, you don't wanna add kidney problem to the list of your problems

Your case is more of spiritual than physical

You need to see a confirmed Babalawo!

The powers after you re greater than what can be cast out in a church/mosque

Seek for divine solution.

Medicine always has a name for every spiritual attack

Reality!

why are u buying drugs without doctor's recommendations? All the chemical drugs are poison to the body without medical supervision. Kindly do a medical diagnosis to ascertain the medical conditions u re suffering from.and I advice you to stop this self medication with immediate alacrity.
