A domestic staff was told to donate fuel for worship.12litres. Her house is far from the church oh.You won't believe this girl with small salary had to buy it and take it to the church with public transport.

She was invited to my church for midweek service and she couldn't believe that we didn't collect offering. She started saying all the things they use in brain washing her.

She eventually got so broke and was asking for money. I had to ask her if she can't go and meet her pastors(the ones telling her to sow seed) to come and sow into her life

Pastor Chris is an excellent preacher of the word of God. I used to listen to his sermons some 12 - 14 years ago. But just as the OP said, I realized I was slowly getting to comfortable with sin, killing my conscience and hating holiness. it as a dangerous place. Being given the license so sin beliving you are righteous person who only has small weaknesses. So i started to research into Pastor Chris's view on sin, I saw none. I was astonished, so I stopped. You cant continue in sin that grace may abound. Even though the very air we breath in is sin, every known sin or sinful life style must die for us to make heaven. May God open our understanding

Being a Christian means to aspire to be like Christ in all that we do. The essence of the church is to help believers build their faith in order to be like Christ. The Bible says we should not forsake the gathering of brethren and what that gathering solely does is to encourage one another, help build one another in Christian faith and most importantly help each other know the truth about Christ. My brother, any ministry that is based on money money and donation all the time are still far away from the purpose for which the church was created. You may argue that nobody forced anyone to give but remember the story of Ananias and sapphira, a lot of people give with grudges in their heart in the so called churches and offerings like that God rejects but nobody cares afterall, the pastors are just interested in the money and not the heart giving it

This is something like what i usually say. Not taking sin as an important thing is dangerous. Mostly in Nigeria, that's where we get a so so corrupt individuals in this country and people can talk about it but same people wouldn't come to the realization that these churches are part of the causes. Who did you tell when you started the church at first? Who asked you why you left CE? Just because you are not hearing what you want to hear, or seeing what you want to see CE is now a bad church. Going to church is not by force those that are comfortable with what they are seeing there can stay those that hate it can leave no need for all these gossiping on social media.I believe when you wanted to leave nobody stopped you from leaving.

Even the 80% of people you are trying to tell why you left CE on Nairaland are senseless I wonder the advice they will give you. I haven't been to my own church regularly this year, though I don't agree with some things they do in my Church doesn't mean I should start gossiping when I leave. The scripture is the voice of the Spirit that dwells in the church. Outside the church, bible becomes a mere history book. It is why it is being abused, debated and confused in the citadels of learning across the world. Only the church has the power to rightfully interprete the bible because the Spirit of God, the Spirit of truth resides in the church built upon the rock, Peter, and the power of the evil ones will not prevail against it. The attributes of the church are authority, infallibity and indefectibility. The church is one, holy, catholic (universal) and apostolic. They can continue to debate it.

CE is a very spiritual Church.
2009-2010. Uniport was on strike and most fellowships shut down except BLW.
I was with them for 9 months...I used to think like the Op before I joined. My God, my Pastor would pray, study the Word for hours.
After we've slept, he would wake and be studying the Word. Mehn!
Pastor Mike(PM) motivated me spiritually as he would send us then to go pray for the sick. The results always show.
I couldn't be in any spiritual gathering like Christ Embassy. We fast and pray like there's no tomorrow. We win souls any how. I was almost made a PDF leader.

Well, school resumed, had to return to my fellowship, SCM.
My Pastor was kinda not happy I was gonna leave. When I was gonna tell him on my Birthday, Nov 2, 2009. That evening, I was literally shaking. I had to go.

Every scripture was written by revelation given to the apostles of God. Paul, Peter, John all had revelations of jesus and they both shared according to that revelation that's y it was written the gospel according to Paul, Peter etc

If u remember, Paul had so much revelation than the oda apostles that Peter commented on this and some even hated Paul for it but that didn't stop Paul or make him a false prophet.

Nobody is comparing pastor Chris with the apostles. they all have had rvelations from God
