ETgirl: using last year screening model, your score is 44.958 the cutoff for sociology last year was 56.37 except if UI will use another screening method this year, i'll advise you change to another school cos UI didnt offer admission to any score below 50.00 last year. All d best |

edygistvilla: you have a chance bro. Using last year screening model, your aggregate is 65.125 and the cutoff for english education was 62.12 looking at the cutoff for education courses, i can say that English education is the most competitive cos most courses under education had cutoff of 50.00 with few in the lower 50s... Except for English Edu which went as high as 62.12 then political science edu and economics edu also had high scores around 60 |

Ajet001:Sorry, I don't take any of those drinks, because of the high sugar content in them. This is not good for the health, especially those who are 35yrs and above. Nevertheless, am a lover of sugarless zobo, kunu and soya milk. Order any of my choice drinks and I'll be good to go. Success in your admission!!! |

Abdulsamiuh:making nice grades in neco is quite hard!! don't know how they mark students' scripts! they are stingy with their grades! if u are very sure of making nice grades, stay put. hope u collected extra answer booklets' for each subject during the exams? lozzzzz |
Re: University Of Ibadan(UI) 2017/2018 Admission Thread by Bobola07(m): 8:39pm On Jul 03, 2017 |
Abdulsamiuh: well, neco might be a bit stingy with grades but people have better pass rate. Last year, more pple passed neco. When i wrote mine sum yrs back, i could only scramble 2 distinctions (B3,B3). The rest were credits mix. As to time of release, most times middle of september.. UI screening might be on cos i feel they will also consider awaiting neco aspirants. oluwatoyin24: there shud be helplines or an email u can forward ur complaints to on the application portal. Better still u can revisit the bank or go to the school ICT center fadafuqer: bro, are u telling us that all credits (C4,C5,C6)are now graded 3 points?? |

For the DE candidates The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will begin the sale of the 2017 Direct Entry forms and registration of foreign candidates on July 10. JAMB’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Bwari, FCT, on Monday. Mr. Benjamin said the process of registration for the Direct Entry was spelt out in the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). He said candidates for Direct Entry were expected to have Advanced Level, Diploma or its equivalent, while foreign candidates must possess proof of residency abroad. “For the foreign candidates to be eligible to write examination in a foreign centre, you must have stayed in the foreign country for at least a minimum of six months. “You must have schooled there, you must have had your secondary education there; you must show evidence of having stayed there for period of six months. “If you have stayed in Nigeria and just fly to London to register, you are not eligible; you must have schooled or had your secondary education outside the country. “Not that you just finished Senior Secondary Certificate Examination in 2016, and you are rushing to the United Kingdom to go and write your examination,” Mr. Benjamin said. He noted that measures had been put in place to ensure that candidates who wrote the previous examination and failed were not registered in foreign countries, unless they meet the guideline. Mr. Benjamin explained that the Direct Entry would be sold at the same price previously pegged at N5,000, adding that the Board was yet to fix the price for application for foreign candidates. “We are discussing on that, we are looking at selling the forms at $100 (N31,525.00) for Africans and $150 (N47,287.50) for non-Africans,” he said. He said that the JAMB Direct Entry was mainly for people who already possessed a diploma certificate and wished to do a programme in the university. (NAN) 1 Like |
