But recall that they cancelled 9 and left 1.

Then the buyer goofed, or so I think.

He told me inside Fiverr, it seems they have cancelled all the orders save one for no just cause, so I am going to create multiple accounts and then you can make the orders there.

Next thing all the 9 additional accounts created had a striking resemblance or similarity, it was clear it was the same person behind the multiple handles.

And in the new accounts opened, he messaged me saying make order 2 here to make order 9 here.

I think it was the act of opening multiple accounts that messed the deal up - from his end not mine.

If I were at fault then my account should have been restricted but it wasn't

I tried to play safe and only created one order and decided to wait until he had placed the order and for some time to pass before but CS struck cancelled the last order standing from the original 10 and disabled all the client's accounts, as well as a new order placed from one of the new accounts

Could it be that some of the orders had spans longer than 30 days but I had documented in our chat that we would use 30 days since Fiverr does not recognize longer contracts?

Or could it be that associating several accounts with one payment method caused it to be flagged down? CS will not answer, from previous experience so I will not bother to talk to them.

Sometimes we just have to be careful. For me depending solely on Fiverr is one of the fastest way to go back to the village.

Has there ever been a completely fair marketplace from PayPal to Payoneer to AliExpress to Amazon or eBay or even the much-vaunted Upwork? Every marketplace has its issues. Sorry for your loss but I assume you've not done the work so it's not particularly revenue, so more like account receivable. The way I see it, there are more merits to Fiverr than demerits and even though it seems like an unfair practice, despite refunds and cancellations and the likes, the seller still ultimately come up trumps. My impression is that there are so many unscrupulous buyers on Fiverr who will take advantage of the Escrow system to gain an unfair advantage. I'd expect that where a customer has an 180-day window to contest PayPal transactions, it takes 2 minutes to dispute a transaction that took a seller 10 days of hard labour to do. Fiverr will definitely not bear the loss, the same way a bank will not bear the loss for fraudulent transactions.

Either way, it's a steady grind. Sh*t happen, keep moving. Transpose the occurences on Fiverr to any business model and the same thing happens in different forms. Unaccepted deliveries, bounced cheques, robbery e.t.c

Last word, I don't think solely depending on Fiverr can be helped at times, starting an offline business requires capital which requires saving or a rich bae a lá Bobrisky. The fastest way to the village still remains doing nothing or sitting on your arse tracking gig analytics.

This guy contacted me out of the blues, till date no order from Buyer's Request, all my jobs are direct Client to Vendor initiated.

This second one involves the user sending me 10 different jobs at the same time, so I created 10 different orders

Client accepts all within an hour

CS cancelled all but 1

Guy panicked and created several accounts and contacted me to send orders to the rest

His fault, the names of the other accounts very similar to each other

Secondly, I suspect he used the same payment method on all of them

I waited 12 hours did not send any more orders but simply responded to his messages on all the new accounts

In less than 2 hours, all the accounts were disabled

And even the 1 order they had left behind was cancelled

You know how it feels to start the first day of the month with an order of $1,000.00 and in 12 hours when the euphoria is yet to abate, CS cancels all of them and refunds the buyer

Better not have the order, than have it and lose it that way

I know better than to speak to CS, so I let sleeping does lie

I believe the guy will reach out soonner than later though, he was pretty desparate and we looked like a match made in heaven

Lesson:

1. If you use more than 1 account, practice very strict account hygiene , there was no relationship or resemblance between them, or you could lose all of them

2. Even if you must send multiple offers, tell the client so space the acceptance so as not to set alarm bells ringing

Baba, why not intelligently drag the client out of fiverr and have him pay you directly to your paypal or payoneer account?

If the job is worth $1000, he can pay you $900 offline and $100 online.

Asin ehnn...that's what most of my big clients do...they even come up with the suggestion and pay me upfront via paypal...Saves me the stress of waiting for fiverr's 2 weeks clearance time frame and more money minus their commission things, Just that this moves takes a lot of understanding between you and your client as i was in direct whatsapp communication with them, which was initiated by them the moment they were convinced with what my deliveries would entail.
