P.S. : I was not really asked anything, so I am not sure how useful this would be for anyone, but here goes.

Consulate : Chennai
Appointment date : July 2, 2017
Appointment time : 9:30 am
Counter Number : 21

Program : MS in Health Data Science
University : Harvard University

No document asked except for passport. Not even I20.

I was in at around 9:10 am and out by 9:50 am. No queues for entry, check or biometrics. About 20 minutes in the queue for the VI. All VOs seemed to be welcoming, if not all pleasant. All I heard was approvals from the counters I could see.

My VO was a guy, who looked early 30’s by conventional standards but not making any judgements there.

VO : Good Morning!
Me : Good morning, sir!
VO : Pass me your Passport.

< Passed the passport >

VO : So where are you going?
Me : Harvard University.
VO : (Surprised) Harvard? (Jokingly) Never heard of it. Is it a good school?
Me : It seems so
VO : Is it one of those community colleges that are around?
Me : I sure hope not!
VO : (With a smile) Is this an MBA program?
Me : No it is an MS program.

VO typed for around 5 – 10 seconds.

VO : Congratulations! Your Visa is approved.

Interview lasted for 20 – 30 seconds overall.

Congrat jare bro and so people will just open their mouth and be saying one cannot get a visa with a community college admission as if they are the VO. The point is, if you have a good reason for picking a school, picking a course or whatever, your visa will be approved !!! I've seen someone who got a bachelors degree in Nigeria and still came here for associate degree and he was issued visa. Congratulation again.

V.O, a lady granted the guy before me; I stepped forward and she kept typing for about a minute and half before requesting for my intl passport.

me : I passed it to her
v.o ; what are you going to do in the united states
me: I am going for my MBA with health mgt specialization
v.o : asks for my i20, checked it then asks why Ashland university
me : Ashland university is ranked in the top 200 schools in the US, they have a student: faculty ratio of 9:1 which makes students closer to the professors, it is affordable . Then I stopped
v.o ; * types * then hands me the blue paper.

pls I intend to reapply and will need suggestions and also please how can I reach Mr Taxrem to assist me with a mock ?

The bolded has been outdated since like 5years ago...... U didn't sound like a real student who who knows what he/she is going into. You could have mentioned something that is of personal interest to you and not some dump internet answers.

Sorry am a bit harsh but if I may ask, is this BSc/Msc? Cos a masters student should know better than this. I will advise you to read part 5 of this thread and re-apply. By then you should know better
