Hello guys,

goodluck to those awaiting interviews and all. i wish to ask a few questions regarding application to german schools.

1. i studied petroleum engineering i i wish to diversify into mechanical or process engineeering. Is it possible to gain admission into fh-luebeck.de and hs-bremerhaven.de respectively offering these courses?

2. Most of the deadlines states July 15. If i commence my online application now, those it mean when the school session start around September-Novermber, i can still meet up with my applications and visa interviews?

Thanks for your responds guys.
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by dobeespen: 4:05pm On Jul 04, 2017
I'll advice you to wait and apply for the summer semester. First of all, applying no be beans. People that take their time to apply still make mistakes. And since you have less than 2 weeks to the dealine, chances are that you'll rush and might forget some things.

Secondly, both schools require Uniassist for their pre-check. If your documents get to Uniassist on July 15, they will not touch your document till the 5th week, no matter how much you email them. They will give you a response by the 6ht week and forward your application to the schools you intend to apply to. Those schools take a minimum of 2 weeks to get back to you concerning your application. So, you won't have any admission decision till September, and studies for both schools resume in September.

I'm sorry but your chances look dim for Winter 2017. Try Summer 2018.

First off, you applied for a Studienkolleg right? I think the process is slightly different from those applying for bachelors/masters. You didn't even submit the paper application before they started processing which hardly every happens. Moreover, yours could be an exception. On average, Uniassit won't touch it till the 5th week. I know more than 10 people who have applied and it's the same thing.

Jigba:

It's not really true that uniassist won't touch your documents till fifth week
From my experience once you've paid and submitted your documents electronically, they will start processing it

Not to discourage you but Uniassit won't touch you documents until the 5th week, and they won't be done with it till the 6th week. Give or take you'll hear a response from them middle-end of August. And by that point, they would have only proved whether or not you have the necessary documents to apply. They now have to send the documents to the schools, who now take like 2 weeks or longer to get back to you. So you won't have a concrete answer on your admission till September. You'll only be lucky if your enrollment deadline is far.

and if they touch my documents and send the documents to the various schools I applied to what will you do hmmmm. I already know that after the deadline of application, it takes 4 weeks for them to process it and send their results of processing via email. Pls and read uniassist very well before you comment on admission issue. So far so good I have been reading your reply but what I see is always negative. Before my first documents reach the school I applied I read the instructions of uniassist often and often. I already know that the admission letter will come out around the middle of august or early august based on documents they receive so far. I even mail them often and often and within 24 hours they reply me back. Well I will pay the uniaSsist processing fee and also update the thread often and often.

If he know someone in uniassist he should please let us know. We need experience student that's studying in german not guess reply from Dobesspen. A lot of people have been replying him that what he's posting isn't true. If he's german agent he should let us know.

I haven't certified any docs though i have all requirements except for the Official transcript which comes from school and might take time... The prerequisites for both mech n process engineering Msc keep stating 'Bsc Mech and pass credit in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, physics, chemical ' that is what got me confused....

Is there any testimony you know where someone got admitted to Msc program different from their Bsc course? Thanks

Thanks bro

Plss ao do i get ds.... any tips

What this means is that the NPC certificate obtained is not tenable and won't fly. However there's relief since you were born earlier than December 1992 (in 1987). Therefore the only document you must tender in this respect is a sworn declaration of age from your family head and none other.

lady/bro I commend you for your posts so far but you should be considerable and thoughtful otherwise when responding to posts especially for uni-assist.I am also an admission seeker/''awaitee'' like you. UNI.ASSIST responded me exactly in the 4th-week ending, just another day to click on the start of 5th-week. I know someone that uni-assist concluded and forwarded her application in just 2-weeks of applying and I still see people who applied same day but their application are in the 5TH week now and was due to improper certification of Transcript/documents, no signatures/dates on the uni-assist form(s) or missing documents that got the processing delayed to be concluded at that moment.

someone who wants to apply for M.sc via uni.assist and deadline is July 15th can easily do so if only the person has his/her official transcript not student copy(not for official use stamped) at hand already, other requirements are moi-moi.(copy of passport, cv, SOP, waec/neco, reference letter(s), IELTS/letter from school for english language proof, proof of employment depending on schools and program). if such person has these documents at disposal, notarize them or certify at High court depending on the type the school demands, with DHL courier service (Max.3DAYS) and get someone to pay application fee by Friday, latest in 4days uni-assist receives the payment before 15th, tell me why won't the person meet up and if lucky that enrollment deadline is 31st of October then visa application is possible too.
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Ramani237: 5:24pm On Jul 04, 2017
Hello, Cameroon speaks both English and French as such your Birth Certificate is supposed to be in both languages so I dont think you have a problem. German Universities accept GCE A/Level..many of my friends are studying in Germany and the German embassy website also states so. So if yo have an A/Level what is the problem?
ninered:
Eehm I need good advice on this issue please
I have gone through the student visa checklist and I have every requirements but 2 things bother me

1. Birth certificate: I was born in Cameroon but I'm Nigerian. My birth certificate was issued in Cameroon and it's in French Language
What I see is BC from National population Commission or Declaration of Age, also my Parents are based in Cameroon and dragging them to 9ja just to sign declaration is not possible and me going is worst coz the Declaration would reflect a Cameroon Court.
Since I wasn't born in Nigeria would my Birth Cert be accepted?
2. WAEC scratch card. My Secondary school is still Cameroon and what we/I wrote was GCE O level which does not require a scratch card. Is it OK?

NB: I went through the student visa checklist for German embassy in Cameroon and my Birth Cert & GCE are acceptable but I don't know if Embassy in Nigeria would do same
Are my good to go? or should I be worried?
Should I contact the embassy on this issues...How do I reach them asap?

ON DAAD website the requirement sates that bachelors or equivalent and also so have diploma.thank you for your positive energy

Sorry Bro, but those who told you that you can't get Admitted into Masters degree programmes in Germany with an HND weren't trying to send negative Energy your way, they were only stating the truth. Sorry to burst your bubble but I agree with them as I am yet to see anyone who got admitted into a Masters degree programme with an HND. Once again, I stand to be corrected, as I personally know those who have tried and the response was negative each and every time. Its a tad ironic you said 'Bachelors or Equivalent' cos quite bizarrely even in Nigeria where both degrees are issued, they are not really regarded as equivalents be it in the Civil service, the Private Sector, the Educational institutions where the said degrees are/were awarded as the case may be, and practically in every domain of the Nigerian society.....I'm sure you are aware of the saying 'Charity begins at home' hence, the subtle 'inferiority' which bedevils the HND certificates at home sadly affects it's reputation and acceptability outside the country.

Oh...okay. Better then. I actually didn't know there's an updated one. I downloaded that in April.

jnrbank:

Youre on point mann.

I can see the checklist of documents required for student visa interview that you attached is the February 2017 one and the checklist includes the questionnaire on verification on data you referred to)

However, the recent updated checklist released in May 2017 excludes the questionnaire which you referred to.

So this affirms your position that it's not needed.

Cheers.

I got it 500 naira in PH where I live...but that was in 2015 when I was first denied a visa at the embassy. It wasn't used then but was returned back to me. I simply used it again since it doesn't expire. It shouldn't be more than A thousand bucks now, max.
