Take the toyota Tacoma. It shares parts with Toyota 4runner. Its mid sized. More fuel efficient and easier to maneuver within and around traffic compared to the others. The tundra and F-150 are good haulers. They haul heavier cargoes via hitch or in their buckets compared to the Tacoma. They are NOT suitable for very rough or off road terrain compared to the Tacoma. If going for Tacoma, ensure its ladder frame has not been bent or exposed to rust elements.

My Oga,

I brought to you issues on my ABS and Radiator fan switch. I have a third problem which i have investigated and sought for solution but now confused. I have gotten the Multimeter to check the ABS and the Radiator fan switch but have not done so yet especially for the fan switch which needs a 24" wrench which i don't have.

I have a P2647 problem that succeeds a P2646 problem.

My P2646 used to be occasional especially after i wash engine. This results in a limb mode where my engine speed is limited below 3000rpm. I have 2 valve body for the Rocker arm actuator.

I had leakage of engine oil at the sensor due to bad gasket which i got a used one and replaced. When buying the used one the seller took the gasket off a rocker arm sensor where the solenoid was broken while he removed the oil switch so i begged him for the valve body which he gave me for free. I installed that free valve body with my solenoid and oil switch but had more leakages so i reverted back to my old one. After these while, my car would just go into limb mode with P2646 without provocation and sometimes go out of the problem by itself. Now i cant seem to get it off my back. It has changed to P2647 when recently i moved both the oil switch and solenoid to the free valve body i removed previosuly. With both valve bodies i will get limb mode after like 1hr of driving. Now i have a permanent limb mode.

I got solutions online which suggested the multimeter diagnosis. All test gave me good results but not a solution.

I was to check for continuity with the connector removed and engine off. If there is continuity, change sensor but if not proceed. There was no continuity so proceeded to checked for voltage across the connector and body ground with ignition at on(II), there was 11V which means OK. Next was to check for voltage across the 2p connector. Same 11v. Next was to check fof continuity on the oil switch 2 pin terminals while engine was running which i didn't and got continuity. All the test means the oil switch was good, and there was signal from ECU. The solenoid too works but i still have limb mode with the 2 valve bodies.

What will u suggest?

What are the symptoms? Provide as much details as you can. If this code is correct, only gears 5 and 6 will work correctly. But you may never get there unless you drive in manual. To confirm that solenoid is the problem, ask your mechanic to swap the two solenoids I have circled in the attached image.

After swapping, if the solenoid is the culprit, you will only have 1,3,4 and 5 in manual. If it does not follow this, and only 5 and 6 are available, you have a TCM or harness problem. The TCM sits on the transmission.

Good day GAZZUZZ, Kashif, etc that contributed to solving my problem.
I did followed most suggestions made by some of you but still the problem lingered. I decided to buy a tokunbo valve-body (with complete solonoid) and invited a mechanic from Lagos to PHC to install.
He drained the gearbox oil, removed the faulty Valvebody, installed the new one and refilled the gearbox with new oil (as recommended in car manual), did a few checks and took it for a drive.
Gearbox and selection appears to be in perfect working condition. Drove around for almost an hour and no "Check Engine" light. Still decided to do a scan, and no error was found.
I pray this would be a lasting solution.
Total cost of the the job (Valvebody, ATF oil, labour and transportation) = 166k as against the 750k for a tokunbo gearbox or 3.5m for a brand new gearbox.

That is not the EGR valve, it's actually the EGR Vacuum Modulator. The one beside it is the EGR valve. The pipe blocked with the broom should go to the vacuum switch valve(vsv) which Toyota hid under the car(you go sweat to lose am if e don spoil) and another pipe should go from the vsv to the EGR valve. I have a 1997 Camry and me and Oga gazzuzz had to relocate the position of the vsv to some place more reachable. If connected properly you should see improvements in your gas mileage . I sha know it's all part of the breathing system of the car sha. Maybe oga gazzuzz fit help expatiate. My car has the P0401 code which I believe yours will have too and your check engine light should be on. I and Oga gazzuzz have tested the EGR valve and it works fine, changed vsv but yet to change that modulator which I hope will be the culprit of my check engine light

No C300 w203. Rather C300 W204 which bears the M272 engine. Its a durable vehicle with only EIS as the bane (which isnt much to worry about) Buy it and receive my blessings.
