So I have done a lot of reading through here but I need to know if I have it put together so some extent .

Planning to go on vacation/annual leave in October .
I'm 30, single and I work . Earn about 150k per month
Planning to spend my stay in US with my cousin and his family in Chicago .

These concerns .
- I listed him as a sponsor (since he would be responsible for my accommodation and feeding ). am i right to have done this ?
- he migrated to the US though school Bsc ,married and stayed back . I fear how he migrated might work against me .
- already filled my DS160 and submitted but I haven't made payment or booked any appointment . Do I need to write to the embassy still if I want to fill a new one and begin the application afresh ?

I'm surprised you're asking us this question when you know they sometimes do background check on relatives who lives in U.S and your cousin deeds may affect your application because he got his stay illegally.. I can only tell you to fill a new form and hope for the best.

So are you telling him to misrepresent?

The way his cousin migrated isn't illegal. Not exactly the optimal way but still within the ambits of the law.
Yes his family ishs can affect him but lying about his plans has worse consequencies. Let's not forget the guy that was deported a few days back....

Goodday house!please I really need your help,I want apply for US family visiting visa here (Saudi Arabia )after filling the D160 form for the family,Pls what is the next step,I have been trying to book an appointment which i think is next,but it quit difficult,I am suppose to take the interview at Riyadh which is the capital of KSA but it kept asking me to choose between lagos and abuja,whereas am presently in Saudi .
Could it be that am suppose to pay b4 booking an appointment cos a friend told me payment is the last thing,or Nigeria are not allowed to apply here;or
I am visiting the right site?please kindly help me out cos I can't wait to go for the interview.

His 2 previous US visas were issued on his diplomatic passport outside Nigeria before his retirement last year as civil servant. His last visa was issued in 2015. Now he wants the visa on his regular passport and I have made payment after his getting his DS 160 application number using in regular passport information. After accepting my receipt number for interview the website can't continue further to enable me select date for interview in Abuja. I was thinking maybe I couldn't book appointment because it was holiday in US (July 4). Did anyone experience this or something went wrong?

And no. U MUST pay before you can book an appointment.
Have u considered calling the embassy in Saudi as any advice given by Nigerians on NL wouldn't be of much use to u?

@frontpagelawyer, my vacation on ds-160 is for 2weeks but I want to stay 3weeks. Will they check my ticket At POE and will I be questioned for staying xtra one week? I have heard different tales at POE. Pls advice. Thanks.

No I never said that at all... When filling the form she knew about how her cousin got to U.S so I was wondering why she used him as contact person.

She was trying to access the Nigeria site instead of the Saudi Arabia site... go to www.ustraveldocs.com and choose Saudi Arabia not Africa or Nigeria.

Thanks. That was what i did b4 filling the form,I put in the country,also the region i will like to take the interview. If that is the case,what should I do cos I had already summit the form and the confirmation email has been sent,but a friend from Nigeria told me i have to book appointment before payment which am suspecting it May be the reason .I just checked the confirmation email now,which read:location Riyadh together with the adress of the embassy in Riyadh,which also include the direct link to embassy for more information. I guess i should pay the visa for now before proceeding to booking an appointment.

He now wants to find out if he can travel alone and return home two weeks after?
Hope he wont be returned at POE if he doesn't enter with his family?

Please can someone tell me what this fixation is with the color of the paper issued by the VOs?

Multiple Pos have said it here that the color of the paper does not matter. They print both approvals and denials on all colors depending.

SO why do people keep going on about 'blue paper' and 'white paper' all the time?

Certainly it's different, you need to complete the form using the link that applies to the location where you reside.

I paid for a B1B2 visa fee, can I choose specifically business conference without tourism while filling the form because I would barely have time for tours since I am scheduled to leave the next day after the conference.

They no longer make a distinction, that is why the visa you get for conference, can later on be used for vacation, medicals etc.
