Guys help! I am in deep shit! cry
My gionee m5 screen background light has refused to come on. The phone is totally black though it is still working perfectly as I could feel all the vibrations from the homekey press and screen touches.

The screen got cracked since last year.
Few months back, a pink line suddenly appeared on the screen and then it started flickering whenever I set brightness to minimum. I used my phone till 0% yesterday and when I charged it with infinix charger, the display was erratic, all parts of the screen were blinking. I switched it on and the gionee stuff showed and after loading it went dim and suddenly became black. Rebooted the device and now it is totally blank not even gionee is showing anymore.

*The phone did not fall recently. The more reason why this is very surprising

go to the admistator in accecibility and remove any app added there...then clear credentials in same security menu..that would solve your problrm

Pls I can't change default write disk to memory card on my gionee m5. Bought a 16g card that I can't use on my phone. Any remedy?

If your internal vpn profile is created, delete it, then you will be able to change security.

No sir. I am using the charger for M5 mini.

And I understand their chargers are not the same.

sure,,check the m5 mini charger if it has something like 5v==2A...if it has,,its suppose to charge it perfectly,, unless the battery is bad

Gionee m5 battery is crap. forget the 6020mah. once your battery goes below 50%, it'll die under a few hours. watch it from 20% and see how it drops. over hyped piece of crap. if you want a good device, get an m6

Nothing like over hyped dude.The phone is over 2 years old.If you have any issues with your phone battery or phone in general then sort it out.

BTW i just they way naija uses the word TRUTH nowadays.

My only problem with phone is upgrade.

Because its update real-time once a day.You can off the update by
*long press default lock screen
*setting-wallpaper updates (off it)

your own case and situation seems to be different.It doesn't happen to everybody. i have been using my M5 for 1 year 6 months now. 50% can take still take me till the following day. and the battery can drain till it goes to as low as 1%.
