I have a 42" LG TV, last week the screen suddenly had color bars & distortion. It cleared after I switched it off for awhile.

It must happened again. It's connected to a surge protector. What could be wrong?

Is it the screen or flex or board issue

The TV is currently suffering from epilepsy shocked

Take it to an LG centre, they might help fix it for you...

Sister please is that Regina Daniel in the second picture?

Slap am for side a bit cheesy ( temporary fix)
Take to Tv repairment ( Good fix 1-2k i think, requires a bit of soldering)
Buy new one ( permanent fix)

can it easily be fixed? I don't want to be bamboozed by the repairers

Lg have the most terrible of all screens.

Even screens on lg phones don't last.

Sell the tv and stay the hell away from any lg product that has screen.

Go for sony.

You are absolutely correct. Two LG 47 and 42 are on the floor in my abode suffering from one issue or another. LG is a disappointment.

Yap, just take d TV to a proficient fixer,
Though i sold it after the repair, then got a new one, i think it's thermacool grin

fault is between the TV's tcon board and the screen, ve to take a look to know exactly what the problem is. certainly not an easy fix, would cost somewhere between 8 to 50k.
