Re: Excel Thread: Post Your Spreadsheet Challenges by Raymonbell(m): 10:14pm On Jun 29, 2017 |
DEBUCHMANNY: 1. Highlight your data 2. On the insert tab create your chart e.g bar chart 3. Now click on your chart to activate the Design and format tab 4. Click on the format tab 5. At the right hand corner you'll see "format selection" and right above it you'll see a drop down menu 6. On the drop down menu click on the series (Data) you want to place on your secondary axis 7. Then click format selection 8. Chart dialogue box will open beside your graph and you'll see primary and secondary axis 9. Click on secondary axis to place that data on the secondary axis. 10. If you need to reformat your graph, click on the design tab to change chart type and redesign to your taste. I hope this helps I typed this offhand without my PC but I'm sure the process above is correct. 2 Likes 1 Share |

jefy: Sorry for the late reply Are you copying an entire sheet of part of a sheet? If you're copying an entire sheet use this method 1. Right on your sheet name 2. Click 'Move or Copy' option 3. Select the position of the new sheet e.g (move to end)-the last sheet on the workbook 4. Select create a copy 5. Click OK A new sheet will be created with all your data and formula intact.(Just the way it's in your original sheet). I love this option because it allows me to create multiple copy of a sheet and allow all formula and Macro embedded in my original sheet to be copied. If you're copying part of a sheet use this method 1. Highlight the data you want to copy 2. Use Ctrl+C or right click to select copy 3. On the HOME tab under the clipboard option you'll see paste. 4. There're several way to paste in excel and that depend on your need. Toggle the paste option available till you get the exact paste option you need. If you can't find the option you need 1. Click paste special and you'll see other options 2. Click okay once you find your favorite option What kind of excel manual do you need? Can you explain a little further I hope this helps |

Re: Excel Thread: Post Your Spreadsheet Challenges by Raymonbell(m): 3:13pm On Jul 05, 2017 |
timmyblast: Sorry for the late reply That is easy, all you need is an Excel function called "CONCATENATE" I assume the data is in two different column (Column A and Column B) and you intend to insert your new data in column C Follow this simple step 1. Create a new column for your new data. E.g Column C 2. On cell C1 type =Concatenate(A1," ",B1) 3. Hit enter button 4. If you want to do the same for all data on column A and B drag the cell down or double click the small black box on cell C1 5. You're done Let me know if that solves your challenge In case you want to merge more than one column just extend the formula like this =concatenate(A1," ",B1," ",C1," ",D1) You can add as many cells as possible Note: " " this allow me to insert a space between the value you're merging together 3 Likes 1 Share |
