MBBS is a calling & that entails sacrifice & humility. MBBS is not a route to escape poverty but it guarantees a comfortable life. But if you want to rub shoulders of wealth with those in biz coz u are a Dr. then, your doom & frustrations will be chronic.

Medical laboratory scientists don't carry poo and urine. That's was an insult to them. You can easily google up their job prescription.

I advice he goes for any of the courses he is passionate about. If he wants medicine he should go for it, that some people have problem getting jobs (hard to believe, they are probably underemployed) doesn't mean he would have same fate.

Sorry u totally misunderstand me , I good moeny, I am jus giving a simple advice, I am abt to lend a college 5k nd I keep lending colleagues money almost on daily basis, these guys r unemployed or under employed

They are alot of Frustrated Doctors, Pharmacist, Med.lab.sct, Nurses and radiographers now in Nigeria.
Success in any field of study is determined by your personal determination, hardwork and God's favour. The most successful people in Nigeria did not study any of the above courses.
The only little advantage the above courses can give you is that atleast in any harsh economy you eat three Square meal, build a bungalow and buy a car that's all.
Besides any Business man can own a pharmacy, hospital or diagnostics centre and then employ the professionals to work for you.
So no course is better than the other. MBBS,MLS, B.Pharm, Nursing and B.Rad are not better than B.A in Igbo,B.A yuroba, B.A Eng, B.Sc Zoology etc.

You have a wrong orientation about what MLS entails.


They don't carry poo around.
There are about five specialities in MLS;
- Hematology
- Chemical pathology
- Histopathology
- Medical microbiology
- Immunology

Among this specialities, you could sub-specialize

My dear we r jus giving reasons y someone shld chose a course or nt, my general opinion is , medicine is nt as rosy as pple assume, thats y I have to cite examples of unemployment nd under employment nd wat I have experienced, it is nt personal, nd we have our freewill of choice.
