Maryland hospitals are pretty expensive. Your best bet would be to get a hospital in Virginia, You can google hospitals in virginia and narrow down choices based on the distance to the part of Maryland where u will be. Vanekj: |

Jazzie76:What exactly do you need help with? Raising the $300 dollars or refuting the agent's claim? Your post isn't clear enough. But search for and read "visa on arrival" on this thread and your solution might lie there. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by Jazzie76: 7:28pm On Jul 07, 2017 |

Why dont u send an email to immigration handle that Prince Ade provided in his email, just a page b4 this. I know that nig visa can be as high as $380, so its may ne true. A lot of mamas have used VOA. No harm in trying Jazzie76: |

Hi everyone, i really appreciate the work you all are doinf on this forum. Please i'm a bit confused about the whole notarisation thing. Please can someone kindly breakdown what it's meant for. My husbabnd will be in the US when my child arrives. So do i need this notarisation for my baby's documents? What's the easiest way to get birth certificate and US passport in Texas. And how do i go about getting a SSN? Thanks everyone |

Hello @miczyn @coolcathy and others using HNWMC, DH and I will be in Houston next month (August). However, we are yet to firm up accommodation. Any suggestions of affordable suites close to the hospital will be appreciated. We've tried airbnb but still on the high side. And has anyone found a way to ensure the pediatric bill is commensurate with what is charged elsewhere (less than $500)? Thanks for your understanding and swift response. Any Houston bound mum in August can hit me up too. mizcyn: |

For your other questions those who used Texas wud b in a better position to answer but not withstanding, ensure you fill and spell baby's name correctly when filling the forms for BC. |

Dwebb55: Good evening @Dwebb55 . I'm new here, don't even know where and hw to pm here. I have a relative in Norfolk so I'm searching for hospitals around Norfolk, Hampton, Newport New, Chesapeake & co . All the OBGYN I contacted were asking that I send medical record via fax before I can even correspond with Dr. Some even asked I send it before they give price and then Dr will know whether to accept me or nt. I will be due in Nov. but hope to travel 5 or 6wks before EDD ie @ 33 or 34wks. - Do you know any obgyn Dr. and hospitals around this axis that are affordable and easily accepts foreign patients? I really don't know how this pm thing works. Pls can you send me a mail? obikweluogo@gmail.com Or you can give me urs so that I can send u a mail. Thanks |

goobyparks: My DW and I used Inova Fairfax which is about 3.5 hours from Norfolk so I don't think I'll be of help. You can start by searching for hospital's in your area of intended stay and then calling them up or searching their websites |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by Terese69: 12:09pm On Jul 08, 2017 |
Vanekj: Most doctors tell you that you have to be in for your first appointment by a certain time usually by 32/33 weeks of gestation, have you considered that? Assuming that's not an issue, have you thought about the cost of your prenatal checks in Maryland during your stay there before you move on to Texas? Who will handle your prenatal care in Maryland? Won't you have to pay another doctor in Maryland for that? What if your baby comes earlier than expected? What if you have an emergency? What's the cost of transportation to and fro Texas? How much will you really be saving at the end of the day? Is that figure really worth all the hassle? At the end of the day, you "may" find that getting an affordable accomodation in Houston/El Paso may be cheaper for you in the long run. In as much as you want to save cost which I absolutely understand, you have to be careful with your decisions so as not to end up being penny wise pound foolish. 11 Likes |
