GuyfawkesAB:Lawsuits, and yet Ambode fixed it in 6-months. Asinine shitstain! It's "lot" not "lots", by the way.. But hey, your grammar is reflective of your mental incapacity - and that is why you rushed in to defend your Lord and personal saviour, Fashola. But not today, foòl. Captain Save-A-Dolt is here to reset your bamboozled and rancid brain. Next time tuck your tribalism into your trousers... I assure you, with your 3inch baby-dick, there's enough space to stuff that and much more of your festering foolery comfortably. Featherweight! 3 Likes |

Desyner: Shut up and quit spewing rubbish. You asked what the minister is doing to fix the transmission lines and I gave you exactly what you asked for where the minister explained in plain English what he's doing to fix the problem, but as usual, it flew over your can't read and comprehend head. Now, the next silly question is the capacity and mushroom projects. So, the fact that some of them are hydro power plant mean you don't need transmission system to evacuate generated electricity. Are some of you really slow and retarded or you people just play dumb and retarded because you have nothing better to formulate inside your vacuous brains? Please shut your ignorant mouth. You people just argue like 2 year old kids. |

Still using hydro? We no dey try at all. With the amount of sun we get daily for this country and other newer and better technology that's being used in developed countries to generate electricity, my beloved country still dey use hydro.... |
Re: Afam Power Plant, Kashimbila & Gurara Hydro Plants To Operate In Nigeria by deomelo: 12:01am On Jul 08, 2017 |
godquality: What is wrong with hydro and where in the world they don't use hydro.? Many of you really think you are smart, but you are not, you all sound ignorant. |
Re: Afam Power Plant, Kashimbila & Gurara Hydro Plants To Operate In Nigeria by Desyner: 1:16am On Jul 08, 2017 |
deomelo:Keep confirming ur ignorance for all to see. You think "evacuation of power" into the national electricity grid covers 20% of the transmission infrastructure upgrade required to effectively get them across to consumers? Your are obviously ignorant of what an electricity grid is and how one works. Keep spewing vile words. Even from the time of Jonathan our generating capacity exceeded our transmission capacity. For you to claim Fashola is delivering as expected then that translates to him hitting the ground running by prioritizing transmission projects over generating projects. What about estimated billing on the side of the customers? For your info, I am no Jonathan or Buhari apologist talk less of being a blind one. I am only a patriotic Nigerian who understands the working of electrical power systems in so much details to allow misinformed people like you mislead the teeming public. 2 Likes |

deomelo: How this my statement take affect you to the extent you called me ignorant? Would it be that difficult for you, to buttress your point without being offensive? Meanwhile i can start counting what's wrong with hydro and why we are still getting electricity wrong but honestly after your rant, i feel no obligation to. Added: I just saw am not even the only one you called ignorant. Can't you be civil in the discuss and either make your point or ignore the posts you don't like? 1 Like |

ChiefSweetus: No mind this Fashola, a total failure in Buhari's govt. What even pain me na one foolish guy on nairaland praising uncle fash of working. But you just said his 8years in office as governor of Lagos he still couldn't fix Ago Palace road, but the foolish guy on marijuana then said this man even work pass Ambode. But according to my own assessment he only worked well in his first term in office as governor and failed Lagosians in his second term in office. But in Buhari's govt he is nothing but a total failure. I can argue this with anyone from now till tomorrow LOL. I can't even believe Fashola will fail in Buhari's govt. I have believed this man will work considering his first term as governor of Lagos. 2 Likes |

[quote author=EVarn post=58186510]How do we plan on improving on transmission and distribution?,I think those are the critical issues on ground.[/quote You nailed it jare. Transmission and distribution are the major issues, even with the hovering around of our 5k megawatts. We will.complain less, even today, if we could have 70% of what is generated, rather, we only pay for darkness, courtesy of these distribution companies. These scams we call transmission and distribution companies will make a mockery of generation. Redress the sale to these screwed, incompetent, political surrogates and Nigeria will be luminated. |

ChiefSweetus: This is the resultant effect of fake.privatisation done by ineffectual Buffon. How can a sane administration hand over a crucial sector like power to private individuals who have no good financial standing to finance the sector? OBJ privatized telecommunication industry and the result is here for all to see, unlike the one done in telecommunication industry by Ogogoro drunkard. |

How can that be done...are there equipments for that and what sorts of doftwares if any.I do solar installation on a very small scale...actually just one installation with just 4 panels. @ bjims hiya. As per my comments, no mind me jare. Well, real time data for specific sites is important in sizing renewable energy systems. For example, a PV+inverter+battery system. You would want to size (panel, battery, cable etc.) based on cost for a number of days (assuming no sunshine) and still meet demand. Furthermore, you would want the converter to be able to operate at maximum power point to harvest available power during sunshine hours/days. Historical data would provide you the opportunity to develop simple equations (using simple/multiple regression or other machine learning techniques) that govern certain weather conditions at certain time of the year while data specs of PV panel helps you model its behaviour under varying weather conditions (temperature, irradiance, wind speed, wind direction, shading etc.). With the disruption caused by technology, such systems are being equipped with smartness to be able to almost accurately predict based on their historical data and current weather conditions, the optimal operating point (duty cycle of the converter) for maximum power. I'm humbled and highly impressed by what you do. Software that could help in machine learning - Python, Matlab (not open source and heavy), R etc. Weather data could be gotten from IITA (Ibadan) and Nimet. I don't know the procedure though. C/C++ language could be used in hardware programming to designing a local buck-boost converter. This will involve some skill in circuit design. You can always pick that up from Youtube. I hope this helps a little. Cheers. bjims: 1 Like |

bashydemy: Anyone who questions the status quo gets a label; are you this intellectually challenged or you just don't know how to think on your own? Nigeria's power problems will never be solved by one man but unfortunately the present persons in government used that as a campaign promise and party manifesto . So do yourself a big favour and get knowledge when and if you can. Shalom. 1 Like |
