Even though I cannot fathom exactly what might have happened, we can't understand Everything in this life.

I thank God for His life,

He will keep preserving us from the arrows that fly in the day & Terrors by night.

Thank God that it did not get to anaphylactic shock.

That there is an anaphylactic reaction. Not shock yet though. The ignorant man is lubricating himself with palm oil

the guy had anaphylactic reaction, it could have been worse. the best thing he should have done was go to the hospital for proper management.

it varies from person to person. some people have same reaction with groundnut, cashew nut e.t.c.

All d guys above me are jokers....
D poster suffered from an allergic reaction to an insect bite....our allergies are different from human to human....n such insect bites could initiate a subcutaneous swelling which in seconds make almost every part of d body to be more swollen.....
Native remedies I know of include palm oil due to d presence of compounds which have a laxative effect on the swollen cells n cause em to deflate back to normal n this could range from mere hours to a day depending on d severity of the allergy trigger!!!
Nigga was prolly scared seeing a Frankenstein version of himself n thought demons were after him....

Nawa for everyone claiming witches n wizards,God n demons o.....did these guys attend secondary school at all? Its basic biology.. undecided undecided

Stop mixing science with fiction.
This a Type 1 hypersensitivity reaction; specifically an anaphylactic reaction. We agree on that.
Treatment is by intramuscular epinephrine and anti histamines. (If you see someone with this, RUSH to the hospital, a proportion of patients will die without treatment)
There is no role for palm oil

That is what we call hypersensitivity reaction, it has happened to me before. If an insect with strong venom like a bee should bite you, your body produces an antibody to resist and fight the venom but in doing so, it produces much more enough to cause and allergy (allergic reaction) which makes ur body swell up.

Yoruba people call it "popola" it dissappear after u miss palm oil and kerosene with your body after 2-3 hours but the itching is bad. And all your entire body will double its size including your penis.

But this does not affect some people like me......I have been bitten by bees(plural) n my body never reacted like DAT while a cousin of mine was bitten by one n broke out in hives!!!! Allergies differ from human to human...my little contribution!!!
