Considering this issue of flooding, especially the island and lekki part of Lagos, where could be safe to settle as well as acquire landed properties that will not be submerge in water on waking up one day.

Is this not embarrassing. Later this useless government will say we should pay tax. See an outsider, a white man paddling a canoe right in front of silverbird galleria. What a mess, what a total mess angry angry

It is but not to a greater extent. Because, one thing with water is that, it has so much anomalous behavior. And Lagos, especially the islands are just surrounded by water. Sometimes, it's not just the drainage system that will prevent such influx. However, a good drainage system could help return normalcy quickly

Ikorodu is close to the ocean.. If u know Ikorodu well u will understand what I am talking... For example behind St Augustine catholic church before Ikorodu garage the ocean extended to that point.. Lagos as a whole is prone to flooding. I remember when mile 12, owode/ajegunle always get flooded....

If the ocean current increases, water would travel distance.. Ikorodu don't have good drainage system..

Well we definitely do not have good drainage system. Even the ones we have are being messed up by the same lawma (or what are they called). Seen them several times disposing dirt swept off the road into those drainages.
