You can't buy directly with less than N50m from the primary market; however, what banks do is sum up all bids less than N50m and purchase T-bills directly from CBN then issue you a t-bill certificate; tell your friend to make enquiries from his colleagues in Treasury.

This is very correct. You can also buy from the secondary market through your Bank.

Hello Guys,

I just want to find out a couple of things. When filling the PH section for ITA, what is appropriate for the questions below for NYSC and periods of unemployment?

"Please describe what this person was doing during this period (e.g. job title, position, etc.)"

and

"Please provide the name of the company, employer, school, or facility as appropriate."

Thank you. This was the exact same thing he told me. In that case, does it mean I wont have the TB certificate since my fund will just be part of the N50m?

An immigration agent i know assisted. Applied and captured same day. Then got the passport in about three weeks (two days after being printed)
Cost about 36k (plus tips).
Ive reffered at least six (including renewals and lost) since then based on my experience and all have gone smooth so far.
Goodevening Threadstone, kindly respond to your mail, Thanks.

What payment? Please I would advise you make the payment yourself or be close to the person making the payment. Don't contact anybody abroad to make payment for you. So many wire fraud these days. Don't complicate your issue.

Good day everyone. I got married to a Canadian resident and he his planning to sponsor me to Canada has his wife. All the documents required for this application is ready and am aware that the processing time is 1year. I just want to know if anyone had a successful application wish lead to getting a permanent resident card in Canada and how long before cic gave them visa? Did anyone had to wait for a year?

You can decide to take the spouse sponsorship route or the EE route to PR. I read on CIC website that candidates with Canadian Citizen or PR spouse who choose to use EE will have their application assessed the same way as a single applicant. Their points will be based on the single applicant case, that is Age will be 110 max, Education 150 max etc.
My 2 Kobo, look at whichever suits u better and faster so u can join ur spouse.

These Banks you mentioned all give reference letter. In fact all Banks give reference letter as long as you specify it is for immigration purpose.

For your letter of consent for your wife to use POF - no need for that as long as you are an accompanying spouse. Your marriage certificate proves spousal relationship. I know this issue has led to previous arguments in the past, but I'm 100 percent certain now that you can submit spouse bank account statement as POF and also 25% of Pension is now being calculated for Nigerians as POF.

Hi Boss13
How did u confirm this
Ie the part about 25% of pension
Thx

If Treasury Bills is bought through the primary market (CBN Auction), CBN will issue a letter of allotment and the Bank will also do a letter to. But if it's purchased via secondary market through the Bank or the Bank pools several people's funds together to buy, there won't be an allotment letter in your favour, you will only have the Bank's letter. Either of the two is acceptable to/verified by IRCC.

Okay Ma'am. I already quoted someone who I think may give you relevant information. Cheers!

Cautious optimism is suggested for anyone that is relying on 25% of pensions fund as the primary POF. What works for someone else may not work for you.

See IRCC's response on this issue recently. Take note of "readily available" and "cashed out"....

It may be better not to use it as the primary POF but as a support. Of course, we all have different risk appetites....

Still on this Pof matter, since one cannot buy tbills from the primary market if the funds is less than 50m, if one buys in the secondary market, what document will they give as proof of purchase, also will CIC accept whatever proof(document) they give as evidence of purchase?

Also, if I am submitting tbills alone as pof, will I need to get the reference letter as CIC as requested?

If i must provide reference letter, which bank do I request it from, the one where I purchased the tbills or the one that has the source of funds(salary)?

Note I am choosing, another bank becos of higher interest rate

Various successful applications. If your POF is complete and your submit Pension, it won't be calculated. If your POF is not complete and you submit pension, 25% will be accepted.

A response from Accra Visa Office to an applicant requesting for further POF.

House help...so am preparing to apply for PR by next year. I am currently in the banking industry but my Bsc degree is Zoology so I want to get a qualification to match my work experience and boost my opportunity.
Should I go for PGD in Economics or Finance?

Please help with your advice.

None, go and do masters.

Btw, ur first degree doesn't need to match with ur experience. You can start the process now if u r ready, this thing works with age, the older u get, the less ur points

@ bolded, it depends on the type of account you run with the bank, if its a savings account most if not all banks won't give you a reference letter, best they'll do is a signature confirmation letter which doesn't serve the same purpose

As long as you are buying through a bank, you can demand/request for your investment certificate. This satisfies IRCC requirement.

Also, if I am submitting tbills alone as pof, will I need to get the reference letter as CIC as requested?

Reference letters are usually in respect of bank accounts. You don't need a reference letter for a Tbill; what you will get is an investment advice/certificate. You may wish to submit a statement on the account from which the Tbill was consummated if the POF is less than 6 months. If you decide to go by this route (i.e. bank statement), a letter of reference would be desirable on the particular account

If i must provide reference letter, which bank do I request it from, the one where I purchased the tbills or the one that has the source of funds(salary)?

Refer to my response above.

Note I am choosing, another bank becos of higher interest rate

Your choice. Treasury bill certificate is an acceptable POF as seen on IRCC's website
