Actually, those Rooivalks in your picture were selected from amongst the UN arsenal (that included Hind's) to escort UN top Brass around the operational area.

UN top brass and admin's trust the Rooivalk with their lives, pity I cant say the same about the Hind.

But here, have some facts abut the Rooivalk in the DRC:

- Lieutenant Colonel Danie Bellingan, OC of 16 Squadron, said the Rooivalk is highly respected in the DRC as it is an effective and well utilised weapon, being preferential to the Mi-24 attack helicopters there.

-The three Rooivalk attack helicopters deployed to the DRC since the end of October 2013 have flown around 1 500 hours and taken part in more than two dozen combat air support missions, including several at night.

- Around 80% of Rooivalk missions in the DRC are intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR), especially reconnaissance of high threat areas where UN aircraft were previously reluctant to operate. Other common missions for the Rooivalk are convoy escort and aircraft escort – Belligan said convoys are never attacked when they are escorted by Rooivalks.

-Bellingan said that with the Rooivalk’s Night Owl main sight the United Nations for the first time had a night operations capability due to the thermal imaging camera, but Rooivalk pilots also fly with night vision goggles at night.

-The Rooivalk is better regarded in the DRC than the other attack helicopter in service with the UN, the Mi-24, partly as a result of pilot training and partly because of the Rooivalk’s superior range and endurance. Rooivalks usually attack a target first, followed by Mi-24s after a target has been marked Bellingan said the Mi-24 crews regularly ask South African pilots for advice, which means “we are doing something right. It’s quite a feather in the cap for us.” He said Mi-8 helicopters request to be escorted specifically by the Rooivalk.

Further:

-2016 was the busiest year for the Rooivalk in terms of combat, with the three aircraft deployed to the United Nations mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Monusco) firing 1 200 70 mm rockets and 11 000 rounds of 20 mm ammunition

-An idea of how busy the aircraft were last year comes from the last two weeks of December 2016, when Rooivalks engaged in combat eight times, mostly against ADF rebels in the region of Beni in the eastern DRC.

-Since 2016, Rooivalks have been self-deploying with drop tanks instead of being transferred by Il-76 transport aircraft, which necessitates partially disassembling the airframes.

There, you have all the facts.

Please, lest have a constructive and informed debate. We have here the oppertunity to learn from one another. Take it.

Hopeless liar.
The radar of gripen can detect objects with RCS of 5m2 at 120km while that of JF17 block 1 is 105km.

Even the typhoon won't see 0.1m2 object 120km away.

Tell us the radar on gripen is better than the one on typhoon, Rafael, F15 and even su 30.

This is common sense.
Google is your friend:

PS-05a mk3 had a range of 120km for a 4m2

The MK 4 had a 120km range for a 0.4m2 target

and the latest MK5 has a 120km range for a 0.1m2 target.
