tolyem: Better with uncle as co sponsor. Corporate sponsorship is a feeble one as a company can liquidate so what happens to her? Corporate sponsor is better on a B1/2 Visa when attending a conference, symposium etc. However, a statement like: "my current employer has also earmarked so so amount of money to support me through out my studies as part of my contributions to the company" can suffix. |

Abuja was hell of a place this morning, according to a friend who's interview was scheduled for 7:30am. Status: Visa delayed. Vo: Why are you going to US me: I'm going for BSc in kinesiology and exercise science in NAU flagstaff and will be majoring in exercise science which will take duration of 4rys to be completed. Vo : what's your father's work me: he owns sawmill and he's into timber exportation vo: what's your age me: ** vo: you're not qualified for visa. Pls my people, my observation: I think interview should go far beyond this before issuing blue form. And according to what my friend told me, he said it was only one white man attending to them, and he was just denying everybody,he denied 4 people before him. Pls your ideas and suggestions are needed. |

lifegate007: Afraid of what? Didn't you know he is meant to be your sponsor? What do you mean by Big cousin? Anybody can sponsor you;just tell the VO your relationship with your sponsor when ask. You are equally afraid of your major; did someone apply on your behalf? Guy stop this unnecessary nervousness and go and collect the visa jo. 2 Likes |

My interview was today by 7:00 am at Victoria Island. Visa Offier was a late twenties (probably) beautiful brunette (definitely American - from the accent). Me: (thinking...wetin dey make this one vex) With voice a bit shaky, I started....During my Masters thesis (I attended Bleep university in Nigeria) I found the technique of one of Prof... xxxx of Ohio University Research paper very helpful in completing my thesis. Me: I'm going for a PhD in Elect. Engr. My area of specialization would be in Communications and Digital signal processing. VO: Who is Sponsoring. Me: I have a scholarship (VO was quite pleased and looked at my I-20 with surprise ... my I-20 specified the full costs as family funds) then I added my dad would cover any cost difference. VO: Picks a paper (me eager to look, Oh! Thank God, its White) and says instruction t o pick bla bla bla.... Me: (With a big smile). Thank you, you have made my day. VO still didn't answer) Me: Found my way out of there ASAP!!! No othet documents was requested for during the interview.
