You are absolutely correct. The fact is that the man didn't embezzle money. His only crime was that he approved the payment of certain allowances (which was long overdue ) to staff without council's approval. As at this time, he had no choice other than to approve the money if peace must reign on OAU campus because Buhari had dissolved the Governing Council and as characteristic of him, he wouldn't constitute a new council.

Now if this was a crime and characters like Saraki and thief.nubu never slept for one day in EFCC or Prison custody while their trials lasted , do you blame those who say Nigeria is a zoo where some animals are more equal than the others?

OAU students I know will not leave their school in IFE to go and protest for one Ex VC that has been implicated for corrupt practises in Ede. Highly impossible! Maybe the Ex VC mobilised thugs and miscreants, Fayose style, to try and intimidate the court. Definitely not OAU students.

The EFCC will not charge you to court for corruption except they've established a prima facie case against you. The Ex VC should spend more money on getting good lawyers instead of hiring miscreants and thugs to intimidate the court like politicians do.

Na wa oooo

I just smiled, for personal reason, when I saw the name of the Judge.

Justice Deji Oladimeji himself should be in jail. Ole buruku. He has been owing me N80k since 2014 and refused to pay. As he said, there is nothing I can do for him but God would take the money from him in multiple folds and many times over.

Why arrest a 'man of the people'? I was at OAU yesterday, the Students are with this VC, even the lecturers!
Now government is arresting him, seriously?

Now we can see that our hope is neither in Religion, or Tribe, or even Intellect.
I never thought Osinbanjo could open his eyes to a thing like this.

What this nation needs us a VIOLENT ERADICATION of the powers that be, and a rebirth!

Yes, because the Students, and ASUU are expert crime fighting auditors.
Just because a man is nice or popular doesn't exempt him from crime.
You guys are the targets of the protest and you fell for it.

No mind them. As if the EFCC was not responding to a petition written against the VC. The man took money that doesn't belong to him and doled it out like father Christmas. With all the dirty stinking hostels and lecture halls on campus, people still have the mind to protest in support of someone that took money meant for the development of the school and spent elsewhere.

It is sometimes good that if one has nothing good to say, one should just keep mute. We all know the country we live in. A place where innocents suffer the guilty laughs. The massive support for Mr. Elujoba by the entire academic community should have spurred any right-thinking individual to re-visit the charges against him. He did the right thing which revealed the heartless deeds of the successive Vcs and that's is his crime. Believe me sincerely, even if he's kept in prison, he remains in the good book and record of we the ever conscious OAU students.

Amandla awetu, nothing shall discourage us.

Prof. Elujoba paid the non teaching staff their long over due allowances ,which was illegally fixed by the former vice chancellor, now he's been dragged to Court, just because he planned to uncover their wrong doings, fine they call it misappropriation of funds, but no one qestion how and why the money was released for the paymet of oustanding allowances(five years) ,OAU staffs and students are not fools nor jobless in their solidarity action to free Prof. Elujoba ,we want Justice to prevail , ,just think about it,academics activities has been on hold in the university because EFFC is prosecuting the former acting VC, even ASUU declared the solidarity strike . a Right thinking person should there's more to the situations than what people think
#FreeProf.Elujoba he's Innocent

If you like go on strike till next year, nobody will intimidate the EFCC or the court. The mans innocence is for the court to decide not you. If he's innocent of the charges, what on earth are you scared of? Instead of calling for accelerated hearing of the case, you and your ilk are storming the court and disrupting proceedings thinking you can intimidate the Judge. It means you have something to hide.
Re: OAU Staff, Students Go Wild In Ede As Court Remands Ex-VC by Adebola02(m): 2:54pm On Jul 11, 2017
doled it out like father Christmas.?

Please can you explain how he did that,
I assume that you're aware that he paid outstanding allowances that was illegally fixed in a bank by the previous administration
Are you not aware about the whole drama that happened before he was appointed as the acting VC

Are you an OAU students or staff ?

So his prosecution has political undertones? What then makes you different from all those shameless women and thugs that Patience Jonathan organised to disrupt court proceedings in Lagos because her case has "political undertones" or is "politically motivated"? What makes you different from the thugs that Saraki organised regularly to appear at the Code of Conduct tribunal during his trial because his case had "political undertones" like he claimed.
Imagine a VC claiming political persecution. Nonsense!
