I have this friend that left Nigeria through Kano on the 20th of June 2017. At first I never knew that he was making a journey to Libya through Agadez in Niger Republic, from where he hopes to connect to Europe. Not until he called me on 23rd of June that he's already headed for Europe through the Sahara desert. He kept his movement away from me and his family members because he knew that we won't support the idea. And now almost three weeks has gone, we haven't heard from this my friend. We don't know where he is at the moment. The mother has been calling me to know if there's any good news on his whereabout but I am scared of telling her that the son has embarked on such strange voyage. Please nairaland, is there anyone that has embarked on this journey before? What could be his fate now. Am so worried more so because her mother is going through excruciating pain. What are the chances that he is still alive at worst? Please am dead worried.

The family is kinda helpless now. I only want to know the chances of making it to Europe through Sahara Desert.
