I'm not being bias (because some people immediately affirm every anti-gay talk to religion), but I think your points are invalid. I'm of the opinion that 'gay' people are just people with serious issues.

You tell us "People can be born gay", but never in the histories of our fathers (I'm authoritatively speaking for Yorubas and Igbos), have we had or heard stories about such abominations, especially for Yoruba people who would immediately spill such abominations via stories so as to warn their kids against them.

Even in the US, when it started slowly, people who were gay were considered mentally ill until it was eventually accepted. My point is you get influenced by a lot of things you learn from others and without knowing, your brain begins to accommodate the idea, and your body in its bid to explore, gets used to it and makes you think its a normal thing.

You want to be gay? Sure. Go ahead. But do not force yourself or your ideology on other people. Do not teach our kids that being gay is normal (You are a part of our society, and whether you like it or not, you teach them these things).

Did you know? some people are now fighting for bestiality and paedophilia as well, because they believe 'love' knows no bounds... Same way homosexual fights started, innit?

Coming from a religious perspective, it's forbidden. And on a final note, this post should not even be here, since the act (homosexuality) is punishable under the laws of the land.

Gentlewitch:
Being a lesbian especially in Nigeria can be amazing and at the same time very frustrating.

A lot of people have wondered so many things about the lifestyle, they end up believing in lies and misconceptions. Here are the top 15 questions asked by straight people about gay people.

So that you'll stop asking questions, read and enjoy..

What is a mental illness? What is normal and what is not? What is truth? As humans we see things from our different point of view, we believe everything we know is the truth. Therefore you are right and I am not, and on my side, I am right and you are not. There is no truth.

You speak of homoeroticism in Africa and say our fathers call it abomination.. did you know gay love was practiced in Africa long before the Western civilization came?

Yes, people, culture and traditions change over time, good and bad but the question is.. how does being gay affect anybody? Pedophilia should be condemned because people are being hurt by it. Rape is a bad thing because it leaves the victim traumatized.. but being gay. Is a beautiful thing and not a crime or a sin. It is love in a different form and not everybody will feel this kind of love no matter what.

You say I am imposing my beliefs.. I am not. I am asking you why? Why do you hate me because I prefer the soft thighs of a woman than your erected penis? Abnormal you call it.. how is it abnormal? Are you going to compare me with an insane person? What an insult to my person.. I went to school, I graduated, I have a good job and roof over my head, my partner is interior designer and my colleagues at work love me because I make people happy and you say I am mentally ill?

You know nothing man.

I don't give a damn about how people choose to live their private lives but don't promote insanity

Imagine if your Jesus had said the same thing to the prostitute who was about to be stoned.. why do you want to cast the first stone?

Don't use the mercy of Jesus to justify evil.
