My brother. Leave these Yoruba pipu alone. They never stand up for truth. They know in their hearts that I trashed them. All the rubbish products they post here cannot match the 'indigemous technological base' in Enugu. FACT. They LOST this battle. I have noted two threads that convinced me that they Lost. They are only clinging to straws. Please ignore them. Good night.
See your hypocrisy! So you have changed from technology products to body care products.

NO. I have read from MANY old foreign books that the igbos are superior to the yorubas. The yorubas innately fear the igbos and that is why they hate igbos.

What I've noticed with Yoruba business in an industry where you have the Igbos making a lot of noise, is the modernity of business structure as oppossed to the chaotic alabaru style of their Igbo co-players.

Case in point, Healthplus and Medplus vs the chaotic multitude.

Indeed we share nothing in common with the Igbos.

We set records for Africa while they set records in catching up.
The greatest mistake the Igbos ever made was to think history can be erased.

No amount of catching up will ever erase history.

laudate:

First, I commend the time and effort that you spent drawing up this list. It must have taken you a while to put it together. But while I commend the efforts of the Igbo entrepreneurs you listed here, you should understand that there are also entrepreneurs from other ethnic groups especially the Yoruba, who have also set up similar things in the past, or are currently major players in the same industries, listed here.

For example, PREMIERE BREWERY and EASTERN DISTILLERIES & FOOD INDUSTRIES LTD, which you listed as engaged in the manufacturing & distilling of spirits and wine, is actually in 3rd place behind International Breweries Plc which was founded in 1971 by Dr. Lawrence Omole. It commenced production in December 1978, with the launch of Trophy lager beer. The company was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1995, and its' portfolio has grown to include Trophy Lager, Trophy Black, Castle Milk Stout, Castle Lager, Redds, Hero, Grand Malt, Betamalt malt drink and Voltic Water. wink The brewery and corporate headquarters are located at Omi-Asoro, Ilesa in Osun State. It began production in 1978 with an installed capacity of 200 000 hectolitres per annum, this increased to 500 000 hectolitres/per annum in December 1982. Their distribution centres are in Ibadan, Lagos and Ilorin. undecided

Dr. Omole cashed in his assets when he signed a technical services agreement with Brauhaase International Management GMBH, a subsidiary of Warsteiner Group of Germany, which bought 70% equity of the brewery from him. Today, that same brewery has signed an operational services agreement with SABMiller. Dr. Omole is still the one smiling to the bank with millions of US dollars, in his pocket.

GARBS ORGANISATION LTD and another company OZALLA PLASTICS ENTERPRISES LTD, which you also listed as firms that manufacture & market Plastic Domestic Wares and Containers, are actually learners when compared to Eleganza Group of Companies, the multimillion dollar plastic manufacturing company owned by Chief Razak Akanni Okoya. The Eleganza group of companies today employs over 5,000 people and has multiple manufacturing subsidiaries in several places like Oregun-Ikeja, Isolo, Alaba, and Iganmu; producing items like seats, shoes, jewelries, plastics, coolers, cutlery, ice chests, electric fans, cosmetics, pens, and a lot more. His group also comprises of a multi-million dollar properties investment arm called RAO Property Investment Company, and is generally one of the largest conglomerates in Nigeria today. undecided

Now, you also mentioned A.N. EJEAGWU & SONS LTD, as well as TOPAN ADVANCE AGRO PAPER LTD which specialises in Paper Converters/Conversion, Manufacturer of Toilet papers and Plastic bags/waterproof bags. However, they are still playing catch up when it comes to companies like Banrut Rolls Nigeria Limited -Abuja, the second largest manufacturers of Tissue Paper in Nigeria and neighboring countries. It is owned by Prince Samson A. Ataiyero and his wife, Mrs. Ruth Aina Ataiyero. The owner has a Full Technological Certificate in Automobile Engineering (HND) from Kaduna Polytechnic, and BSc Hons in Public Administration from University of Abuja. wink

Hmmn... let me stop here. wink I really do not want to bore anybody with too many details. cool

you already bored me with all the long post and still not up to 5 names grin grin grin you keep saying you are not Afonja but you keep fighting their battles with your long and pointless post, you tried to prove that Afonjas are also manufacturers yet I don't see any names except Okoya grin please do a better job and get me a list even if it is 30 I will give you a pass Mark mind you the companies listed here are only indigenous Anambra companies grin grin grin if you give me 30 from Afonja put together I will give you another 50 from Anambra.

Mind you I never said others don't manufacture anything but Afonjas trying to measure up to Igbo's in terms of production and manufacturing has to be is the biggest joke of 2017. You should no Igbo's are no joke when it come to production when the Vice President, former presidents, Senators, minister of information, army chiefs etc continue to visit the space in regards their industrialization drive.

My friend, go away joor. You are pained and am not ready for your antics. That thread has all you need. Simple. Other old books I will not mention. Go and do your research why the white men said after the civil war: 'In Biafra, Africa Died'. OR 'the white race could not allow another Japan in Africa'. Do your research OR satisfy yourself with the nairaland thread I linked.
