For example, PREMIERE BREWERY and EASTERN DISTILLERIES & FOOD INDUSTRIES LTD, which you listed as engaged in the manufacturing & distilling of spirits and wine, is actually in 3rd place behind International Breweries Plc which was founded in 1971 by Dr. Lawrence Omole. It commenced production in December 1978, with the launch of Trophy lager beer. The company was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1995, and its' portfolio has grown to include Trophy Lager, Trophy Black, Castle Milk Stout, Castle Lager, Redds, Hero, Grand Malt, Betamalt malt drink and Voltic Water. The brewery and corporate headquarters are located at Omi-Asoro, Ilesa in Osun State. It began production in 1978 with an installed capacity of 200 000 hectolitres per annum, this increased to 500 000 hectolitres/per annum in December 1982. Their distribution centres are in Ibadan, Lagos and Ilorin.
