Top 20 indigenous oil producing companies have a combined production capacity of 865,229 barrels per day (bpd), according to a report by Africa Oil & Gas.

The report made available at the ongoing Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) 2014 meeting in Lagos yesterday shows that, as at May 2014, the companies achieved the feat through individual and equity production.
Top among the list is the National Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) with gross production of 186,918 bpd from its 10 oil fields.

Seplat is the largest private field operator at the moment with 60,113 bpd from three fields - Ovhor, Sapele and Oben.
Midwestern produces 12,654 bpd from its Umusadege field. Conoil is producing 10,100 bpd from Otuo South field, and Pan Ocean 7500bpd from Ogharefe field
.

Other producers are: Moni Pulo 4000bpd, Walter Smith 3800bpd, Niger Delta 3800bpd, Energia 3500 bpd, Pillar Oil 2500 bpd, Amni Petroleum 18000 bpd, Allied Energy 2000bpd, Platform 2000 bpd, Shebah 1500 bpd, Prime Energy 1500 bpd, Dubri 200 bpd, and Shoreline Resources 41,201bpd among others.
The report also revealed Nigeria’s top five indigenous natural gas producers with combined capacity of 873.91 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d).
Among the five, NPDC is the largest gas producer with 404.35 mmscf/d, ND Western 322.46 mmscf/d, Seplat 84.1mmscf/d, Frontier 35mmscf/d and Niger Delta 28mmscf/d.
The indigenous producers, who are mostly licensed for marginal oil fields and sole risk, have also increased their productions through joint venture with International Oil Companies operating in the country.
Nigeria currently produces about 2.3 million barrels of oil per day.
Experts said the delay in the award of new marginal oil fields by government has reduced the performance of the indigenous firms

Seems you don't know the meaning between of field operator lol

Open letter to Tinubu by your elder

Asiwaju Sir, you may be wondering what I’m talking about? It is the issue of legacy. According to Peter Strople, ‘Legacy is not leaving something for people, it is leaving something in people’. Legacy is building something that outlives you. Legacy is greater than currency. In the words of Leonard Sweet, ‘ What you do is your history. What you set in motion is your legacy’. You can’t live forever, Sir. No one can. But you can create something that will. Enough of speaking in parables- I shall now speak plainly. When destiny brought you on the scene, we were enamoured because you championed the case for true federalism. It was your belief then that the Yoruba nation will fare better under a restructured arrangement than under the type of unitary government we run while pretending by calling it a federal government. 70% of the manufacturing concerns and major industries in the State are owned by the Igbos. If the Igbos were to stop paying tax in Lagos State, the IGR of Lagos State will reduce by over 60%. .....

Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/06/open-letter-asiwaju-bola-ahmed-tinubu/

Oga, both you and the the person you quoted who wrote the letter, are grossly misinformed.

For example, Chief Bode Akindele that was cited in the letter as owning the old Standard Breweries & the defunct Dr. Pepper beverages, is today still one of the leading industrialists in the Southwest region. He is the owner of Modandola Group and Fairgate Group, and his business interest spans from maritime to properties and manufacturing.

For example, in the United Kingdom, where the headquarters of his international operations\ business is located, he is respected and highly regarded as a businessman of repute. His company, Fairgate Group located on Bond Street, Lodon, England, deals mainly in properties. Among the company’s tenants are giant retail stores like Sainsbury and Asda Wall Mart. As at the last quantification, the Fairgate Group was said to be worth over a startling billion pounds sterling. A regular visitor to the Fairgate group office of Chief Bode Akindele’s office on Bond street, London can easily know if the Ibadan billionaire is in town or not. This is because right besides the office is a dedicated parking space for the businessman by the Borough of Hammersmith, exclusively reserved for Chief Akindele. So, whenever a Rolls Royce is parked at the space, it means Chief Akindele is in town http://naijagists.com/how-chief-bode-akindele-made-his-billions/

Saying that Lagos would lose 60% of its IGR if the Igbos move out is a fallacy. sad The state would not lose up to half of that amount. A lot of conglomerates and industries now in the Southwest are either foreign-owned, or a joint partnership between Nigerians and other foreign interests. The writer did not look at the size of businesses held by other non-Igbo ethnic groups, within Lagos, before jumping to his conclusion. If I were you, I would take his comments with 2 pinches of salt. undecided

The same Seplat that posted a huge loss on its operations, recently? shocked

Seplat Petroleum Development Company’s (Seplat) Q1 2017 results were hurt by disruptions to the third-party operated Trans Forcados System (TFS), the company’s major export pipeline route. Seplat posted a loss before tax of –US$18.3m. This marked the fifth consecutive quarter of losses.

The TFS which had been out of operation for over 15 months is now back on line. However, we expect management to remain focused on the development of export route alternatives in order to de-risk future production. Following conversations with the company, we understand that engineering work on the Warri Refinery Jetty and the construction of the 160,000bpd Amukpe-Escravos pipeline are both on schedule to be delivered in H2. https://www.proshareng.com/news/Stock---Analyst-Updates/Seplat-Petroleum-Devt-Company-Q4-2016---/35086

I'm Igbo, but truth be told, in terms of service company's, technology and ICT, you really have to give it up for the Yoruba Nation.

In fact, the person that opened my eyes in the online is a Yoruba person. They are not stingy with information.

Truth be told, they are highly in the front line in terms entrepreneurship at this time, and they hardly make a fuss or noise about it.

Maybe they picked up after the civil war cool

Seun for example is almost on a ghosts mode, yet makes millions weekly, unlike Lindaikeji that makes noice here and there.
