fayvah: Why give excuses instead of holding accountable the public servants (governorS) who receive so much money, legitimately and otherwise, from us? Do you think that if oyinbos don't hold their leaders accountable, their hospitals will be good enough for our president to be there wasting our scarce foreign exchange? It is up to us whether we make progress or not and the pace of such progress. |

Equally naive are the many responses seen here. First of all, hospitals don't treat or save patients, medical professionals do. An example being the case of President Buhari today, Yaradua and Abacha before him together with all the first ladies who either died or were severely afflicted while in office. If money could build facilities to solve problems then they will have done so in Aso Rock or other places in Nigeria. The facts are clear, it is the dearth of top level professionals that forces people abroad. You don't go to a hospital. Rather you go see a doctor. Buhari has gone to see his doctors who ordinarily will not relocate to Nigeria just because of his case. There are lots, hundreds of top Nigerian medical professionals but where are they, certainly not in Nigeria. Why, the system doesn't work. And since the medical industry is a professional one it's takes a series of individuals to make things work. The young man has burns but he will have required a plastic surgeon, urologist, pathologist, etc to handle him because to win difficult challenges a top professional needs the support of other top professionals. It is this quantum, this system that is lacking in Nigeria. There are a handful of well equipped hospitals scattered here and there all over Nigeria but there is not the quantum of manpower to handle specific cases at any one time in Nigeria. Most have left Nigeria to 'teams' abroad where they make better impact. Hospitals don't treat patients, doctors do. 1 Like |

Yeligray: Are you aware of what our people are doing in South Africa. 80% Nigerians living in South African, Igbo, Yoruba, and Bini and some of Nigerian minorites are earning a living through CRIME. I'm currently living in South Africa and my job here is fixing phones. Don't blame South African for treating Nigerians badly here. 2 Likes |

Let's blame them for our leaders refusal to do their jobs. Let's blame them for all the shyt we have to put up with in our country under leaders we elected ourselves lol. Omoluabi16: LMFAO @ the bolded. Stop living in the past you fool. You fought apartheid only in your dead brains. We don't owe you a damn thing, your leaders scammed you like they are still scamming you now. The hospital your lying governor mentioned is the biggest in the world and it's free for everyone including foreign nationals. It's a pity the likes of you are so easily deceived and believe anything your leaders tell you without doing any research for yourselves. Can he give any proof of these allegations? No!. Have you people asked him to back it up? No!. Why doesn't he build a proper hospital for his people? The hospitals in south africa were built by SAns for SAns and those living in the country and others who are in need. Why not stop bitching and start building your own world class hospitals ? Are we the ones stopping you?. The minute you wake up and stop being so docile and accepting mediocrity from your leaders , only then your country will see change . Leave us out your problems , we didn't cause them , you did. 3 Likes |

Yeligray: What are we doing to them? Is anyone holding them at gunpoint to remain in SA? . If they are not happy here they are free to go back home , no one asked them to come here. Why should he forget about medical facilities? You are one of the reasons your country is so underdeveloped, people like you accept excuses from leaders instead of demanding accountability. Why is he blaming another country instead of developing his own? 2 Likes |

1metre: What should be condemned is your existence. Did he prove his allegations? Why are people like you so easily deceived? . How did he pay a free hospital?. Your country doesn't have working facilities because instead of condemning your cruel leaders you choose to believe everything they claim and blame others for your problems. Build your own things and you will be happy. The hospitals in SA were not prayed into existence, we built them from scratch and who we allow into them is our business. 2 Likes |
