Hi guys, please for those that used IQAS, how long did it take them to acknowledge receipt of your transcript sent by the institution. Mine is taking forever and I can't even call or send a mail to enquire. |

Not necessarily the finger print forms but maybe the final PCC!! But first please check cic website, check the PCC section for the exact procedure on how to get Nigerian PCC according to your country of residence.....it is different for Nigerians resident abroad. Who knows, this might have been the cause of rejection but maybe not...?..Might just be the overzealousness of vo!! (but he can back his reason up, because the rules are on their site). I say this because, for those of us in middle east for example, we are expected to send our pcc to Naija and upon return, attest it at the Nigerian Embassy.(it's written like this for Nigerians in UAE, OMAN! SAUDI Arabia, KUWAIT etc). Now most of us here don't even attest anything because the Nigerian embassies here are very slow like the president, but we fortunately get away with it! My friends didnot attest and got PPR.... (Not heard of Nigerians rejected for this before but indians and Pakistanis have got rejection for this reason). Well even though we cant state categorically if this was your case, I advise that this time, you attest the pcc after getting it, with the Nigerian embassy in your country of residence, if its required. Lastly, what format did you get it? Was it scanned to you? That would have been okay if you wanna submit directly without attestation. But if you plan attestation with Nigerian embassy (recommended), then let them courier the pcc to you in its original form! NB: I even did a similar gamble with my pcc and praying for God's favour......God help us Please has anyone staying in the Middle East done PCC? Please how did you go about it? We are planning to get from alagbon when we will be in Lagos hopefully next month.. Will that be acceptable? Somebody help please!! Guru in the house please!! I seriously need guideline please!! 1 Like |

IQAS didn't acknowledge receipt of my transcript. I had written a mail to my institution telling them to prepare another package, only for me to receive my ECA that night. So I dont think you should panic, it's been sorted. What uni are you sending the transcript from? and how did they send it, regular mail or courier? Farefare: |

Hi Tope, You do realise that for some people leaving isn't about what they earn or how comfortable their lives here is?Some people just want to be able to live and raise their kids in a saner society even if this means they will have to reduce their standard of living or earn less which I think might just be for awhile especially if you are realistic about your expectations, hard work always pays off in the end so life may not be so rosy as you relocate but eventually it will pay off. Secondly considering the uncertainties surrounding our country which has always surrounded it anyways people want to create other options for themselves and their children born or unborn,After all the president Senate president holds another passport,The one agitating for separation of the Country holds another passport and has his wife and kids safely tucked away in a sane society,Our president who didn't have money to buy party ticket during the elections his children all school or schooled in the UK,What of the Oga at the top himself? He has been Intheabroad receieving medical care.Bayelsa State Governor his wife gave birth a few months ago Intheabroad the child holds another passport.I could go on and on Most people who have lived outside of this Country will agree that it was a struggle to come home, some didn't the beauty of life and the power of choice. We all have personal preference and some of us will not stay in Naija no matter what we were offered as salary. The second half of your advice was a great one which buttress my point that there is nothing to loose by creating other options for one's self, considering his profile it's a win win situation for him. Cheers quote author=temitope06 post=58517985] Jeez dude, why are you trying to leave tho? You're 29 and earn 550k monthly with a lot of experience under ur belt and u wanna leave that for what? If this was my situation, o boy, f**k Canada o. Anyways my advice is forget that MSc bros, apply for PR straight. Even when u get it, go for a short landing, come back and continue working. After 2 and a half years start applying for jobs in Canada. Then move finally. Better don't complicate ur situation cos u wan comot naija by force. U got it good o. [/quote] 30 Likes |

So sorry to hear this. The police report is actually for any country in which you've spent a cumulative of six months in total from different travel periods...not six months straight in one journey. I'll suggest you start working on the US police report immediately and concurrently work on getting back into the pool by creating another profile. I know this is extremely heartbreaking but don't be discouraged. It would all end in praise by God's grace. yokus: 4 Likes 1 Share |

yokus: So sorry to see this! I know how disheartening it can be. Please apply for US PCC immediately, I don't rily have info on it but you can google FBI PCC for details or maybe scroll through the thread. I'm sure someone has written about it. 451 is really good so once you have d PC, u can rush back in the pool and I'm sure u'd qualify for the next ITA. Take care 1 Like |
