deomelo:It appears this Afonja just bursted himself in an attempt to prove Jim is not Igbo in a attempt to continue with your foolery, you shot yourself in the foot, Did you not see the name of his child there? Is Isioma an Afonja name? I know it hurts you to know Jim is Igbo That is however why I am angry about any thread listing Igbo companies and it's owners, cause Afonjas will get jealous and start a campaign of calumny against those companies. Jim is from Agbor in Delta North of Delta State, also known As Anioma, other notable Igbo's from Delta north Are Tony Elumelu, Mrs Okonjo Iwela, prof Pat Utomi? Even Kachikwu your petroleum minister and the current CBN governors Godwin Emefiele are from Anioma, Are these men not Igbo too? even your god Buhari himself who does not have a school cert, knows this and said they are Igbo's, so why disagree with your god, you who is just a awof graduate. After all the famous coup that lead to Civil war that you love too tag a Igbo coup was also caused by a Delta North, Agbor Man, Kaduna Nzeogwu, however you said Jim was not Igbo but you failed to tell us his tribe? Is he Urhobo, Ijaw or Itsekiri? Or you are simply praying they also deny their Igbo heritage sorry they don't depend on oil and know the value of their Igboness, Anioma alone have produced more prominent and successful men than Afonjas put together. Afonja try again, I would have corrected your other so called assumptions of bursting lies but I would rather you assume all those companies are owned by foreigners so you don't bad mouth them, however I decided to correct this so you fools don't start your Afonja ikwerre-like campaign on Nairaland, so now go and use your newly created Agbor handle to reply this post, Afonja. 4 Likes 1 Share |

PVision2020:We know Afonjas love to fabricate lies, well that is only for their children whom they have succeeded to fool for generations, please when you make bogus claim like the one above support it with matching evidence and it's source. That Bukola Saraki claims not to be Afonja does that mean they are no Afonjas in Ilorin, or does that change the ethnic nationality of the Afonjas there?. I know sense is not common in Afonja land so your kind excel in foolery but at least pity your family cause the shame you are cursing them is unbearable. If these men are not Igbo kindly tell us their ethnic nationality cause we know the only tribes that make up Delta state is Igbo, Urhobo, Ijaw, Isoko and Itsekiri. So where do you wish to place our industrious sons and daughters in Delta north 2 Likes |

afonjadie: Nna educate yourself, this is not a beer parlour Argumentative forum. There is a minimum IQ Pre-requisite for you to comment here. Agbor ditto Anioma are ancestrally linked to benin, trade n intermarraige are thier only links with the E-bowls https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agbor History The history of Agbor is based on oral tradition. Although, there are many accounts of this history, that of Ogunagbon is the most credible. He and his followers came from the ancient Benin kingdom and settled in Ominije (present day Agbor-Nta). It is said that Ogunagbon and his followers moved to this new settlement as the result of a dispute resolution between two princes. This new settlement came to be known as "Agbon". Agbor as it is called today is a result of anglicization of the name Agbon. According to an account, early Agbor had started to evolve by 8,000 BC. Ominije was the first Agbor settlement founded by the original inhabitants. The ancient Ominije covered the area which is now the present day quarters of Agbor-Nta, Oki, Ewuru, Aliagwu and Amalia- all in towns in the present day Orhionwon Local Government Area of Edo State. The pioneer patriarch of the earliest native inhabitants of Agbor (then Ominije) was an immigrant named Ogele. His wife, Ika gave birth to four children: Eken, Orie, Afor and Nkwor. Ika turned out to be the language of the Agbor people and the names of the four market days which form the native week were named after her four children. 1 Like |

He was nominated by Delta State branch of Ohanaeze as their consensus candidate in a resolution reached at the palace of the Asagba of Asaba after the position was zoned to Anioma, one of the seven units that make up Ohanaeze Ndigbo. But in his acceptance speech, Uwechue expressed gratitude to all and called for unity among Igbo, which is said to possess the talent to and wealth it would take to take to address national issues, while also noting that the position given to him has created confidence that the Igbo from Delta State are accepted as brothers and sisters in Ohanaeze. Finally, he promised not to disappoint Anioma people as the race is for Anioma home and abroad. Anioma in Ohanaeze Ndiigbo On November 29, 2008, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization announced the election of Ambassador Ralph Uwechue, an Anioma indigene as its President-General to pilot its affairs for the next two years. He was nominated by Delta State branch of Ohanaeze as their consensus candidate in a resolution reached at the palace of the Asagba of Asaba after the position was zoned to Anioma, one of the seven units that make up Ohanaeze Ndigbo. Finally, he promised not to disappoint Anioma people as the race is for Anioma home and abroad. Anioma people are people located primarily in Delta State, Nigeria. They make up about one-third of Delta State and, for administrative purposes, are referred to as “Delta North,” thus contrasting Delta Central and Delta South, areas densely inhabited by the Urhobo, Isoko, Ndokwa, Ijaw, and Itsekiri, the other ethnic groups inhabiting Delta State. The Anioma region has a total population of 1,114,055, not including those Anioma communities located outside of Delta State.[1] The Anioma populace make up small numbers in neighbouring Edo State, specifically in Igbanke (Igbo Akiri), Ozo and Ekpon. The term “Anioma” means “good land” in Igbo and, coincidentally, is also an acronym derived from the four original local government areas, i.e., (A) for Aniocha, (N) for Ndokwa, (I) for Ika and (O) for Oshimili, M and A being common denominators found in the original four local government areas. The coinage was made by the founding father, Chief Dennis Osadebay, in 1951 and has remained the preferred indigenous name by which the people collectively refer to themselves. Sentimentally, there are also Anioma communities in parts of certain towns in Anambra State, namely Onitsha, Ogbaru, Akwukwu Obosi, Ozobulu and Ogidi. They can also be found in the Oguta and Ndoni areas of Imo and Rivers States, respectively. Anioma people, who had one identity prior to the coming of the Europeans, were balkanized after they lost the Ekumeku War against the British imperialism, in 1914, after 31 years of fighting. The Ekemeku War was the longest resistance against British imperialism in Nigeria. 1 Like 1 Share
