Kindly advice me on visiting visa cos I don't want to lie at all, I have my own business which drycleaning and laundry but my challenge is how will I go about it cos am confused.....
LadyGuinivere:

Warning: I am going to come off as being rude and brusque and any other applicable phrase in this post but I have no apologies whatsover.
Why? Because as a self confessed pastor you are called to higher standards and should be familiar with this quote  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine so I will happily rebuke you with the doctrine.

You are the problem with the church and the whole world. You are meant to shape the minds of the leaders of tomorrow. You are so shameless as to call yourself a youth pastor and in the same vein coin up the phrase 'finetune defeciencies'. Nekwanu Oyibo o! Odinma!
Is that grammar supposed to make right the act? In plain English u need advice about whether it is ok for an agent to forge docx for u since your church (In their wisdom clearly) refused to give u ;and by your own admission you have no ties? If you are needed for the conference your church would sponsor u and back u up.

Which bible do u read or pastor with? Is this what u teach the youth in your church? To colour evil gray and call it by a fancy name so as to decieve yourself and the world. Go thru that your bible and advice yourself.
Just in case you are still unclear or your conscience has been seared with a hot iron. (1 Tim 4:2) -lemme spell it out for u
1. If your church has refused to sponsor u, clearly they have seen u as unfit.
2. If u have no ties, that means you are unqualified for a visit visa.
3. If u get an agent to 'finetune your defeciencies' it is both misrepresentation and a sin.
In the light of Nos 1-3, I advise U to sit your behind down and be useful to your generation.
Rubbish and ingridents!

Why not send him the link to this forum to read, research (ask questions as needed) and understand, than acting as a middle man?
Just my thought
Yes I've told him severally about this forum and even when they were filling the petition.
but this is another issue and I've not gone across such since I started reading Nairaland.
I told him he can't get a visitor's visa since he has a petition already pending at the embassy. but I told him I will still ask other colleagues here to be very sure with my answer.

Hello JWTheocracy1 -

There is no rule against approving a non-immigrant visa for an applicant who also has an immigrant visa petition pending. The key decision the visa officer has to make is whether or not the applicant intends to immigrate on the visa he is applying for at that interview. The presumption of immigrant intent is a core concept of US immigration law that governs our visa process. Another overriding concept is our judgement of whether the applicant will use the visa correctly--to abide by the laws of the land and to return after a short stay. We understand that immigrant visa petitions can sometimes take years to process. In the meantime, an IV applicant may wish to make brief visits to the US but will not want to endanger their lawful, long-term plans to migrate. We look at those situations carefully and make decisions on a case-by-case basis.

My uncle got his b1/b2 visa last year . He traveled to the United States this year February and has been in the U.S. For over 5 months ( NB: he was given 6 months @ POE.) . He's planning to leave the U.S. before the 6 month expires this month . Now my question : do you think staying as long as 5 months plus ( almost 6 months ) would affect his next entry into the U.S. ? Thanks
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by 9jaStar: 8:58pm On Jul 16, 2017
As long as he returns within the 6 months he was stamped in for, he should be fine.
But if he were to return within another few weeks, I'm sure it will invite scrutiny. Is it that he does not have a job in Nigeria? Why is he spending over months away from home?

He should be fine as long as he does not return to USA soon. He should stay in Nigeria for some months before returning although I have someone who stayed 5 months, left to Nigeria and returned to USA after another one month. Depends on what you say at POE.

8 Things You Must Know If You're Going For A Visa Interview

A visit to the different embassies in Lagos and Abuja will give you a fair idea of the number of Nigerians who want to jet out of the country. Getting the visa for some is like a lifeline. It is either they get it or nothing else. Rejection for them is unacceptable. As such, here tips for a successful visa interview.

Hello everyone and God bless you all for helping people with their questions and worries.

Please i need an advise. Went to US embassy 2times in 2012 for a student (f1) visa interview and was denied on the two occasions, i also have history of visa refusal from the British embassy 2 times in 2015, i have a traveling history to an African country Ghana in 2014.

Just married last 3 months my husband has a virgin passport,

Now my cousin is having a wedding for November in USA and she's sending my husband and i an invitation to attend.

What are my chances of getting a visa? And are we to apply for a family or individual interview.

Also note then I was a student , dependant on my father, but now I have a good paying job same for my husband, apart from my daily job I run a catering business.

Thanks and expecting your swift response.

There are people that I even come in, work, go back to Nigeria for a few months and come back again and work. The cycle continues like that over and over. At least I know two people currently in the US doing that.

1. Did you use an agent in both US and UK applications?
2. No one knows your chances, only God. But you can do a self-appraisal - what are those things that will make you come home those are your ties to Nigeria.
3. Most importantly, did you misrepresent in any or both visa applications? if so, you can come clean and you could still get your visa.

No one knows in all honesty. One thing VO's look out for is confidence. If you are not confident of the answers, you will give, you are already at a disadvantage. Go through this forum and you will see questions and answers, tailor the answers to your particular situation and be confident.

Thanks for ur reply. No I didn't use an agent for both embassies. I didn't misrepresent I was clean with all questions. Probably I was anxious.

Hello Gwihan -

We cannot comment on individual cases or on the likelihood of any particular case being approved. The decision the VO will have to make if you choose to apply again is whether or not your ties to Nigeria at the time of the new application are strong enough. We do not base our decisions on prior decisions for the same applicant, but look at each application on its own.

My own opinion is that since it was not included in the first appointment don't bother including it now... because you were not denied visa because you did not included her. Have you traveled out of Nigeria? what do you do for a living? are you married? do you have kids? these are few of those things you should be worried about.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 12:12pm On Jul 18, 2017
Twice this year? A VO will likely think you are desperate. Build your ties to Nigeria. If you have spare money, travel to other countries. You will be rejected unless your circumstances, have changed.
