One will expect the self proclaimed "sophisticated " and most "prosperous" "kingmakers" and "reformists progressives " of Nigeria to be at the forefront of restructuring or out right seccesion but that is far from the case as afonjas merely pay lip service to the notion of restructuring or seccesion.

Afonjas are more scared of the looming anarchy that will be unleashed in an independent Odua Republic.

When I tell people that afonja land will not capitulate to Sokoto after a military conquest but by afonjas jumping over themselves to betray their own people, some will call me a bigot.

Awolowo had Akintola

Obasanjo had Tinubu

Diya betrayed himself

And....

MKO Abiola was betrayed by NADECO and Yoruba obas

Even Ilorin was lost to Sokoto by the actions of Afonja.

Afonjas are more scared of the impending anarchy that will erupt among them after Nigeria's balkanization than even losing free oil money or even the jihadist train from the north.

The kiriji wars, Ilorin, and the very fact that it was the same Yorubas that first extended an invitation to the British to rule them from where the latter got a foothold to colonise the rest of Nigeria, points to the fact that Yorubas are incapable (owing to continues internal wrangling) and unable to rule themselves.

Also remember that political and electoral violence has its roots in the SW which it still notoriously stands heads over any region till this day. If this same sophisticated progressives can not be trusted to act in a civil manner in selecting their own leaders through the most civil manner of democratic elections, how then can anybody see these people ruling themselves in peace?

Add the fact that political godfatherism dictates and emperor figures are more revered than political discus among the Afonjas then you have a sneak peek into what a future independent Odua Republic may look like .

Or have you wondered why Yorubas do not have any pre-colonial resistance figures?

It is then no surprise why they universally (whether Muslim, pagan, Christian , free thinking Yorubas) agree to one Nigeria under sokoto.

The Yoruba needs a Nigeria and a Sokoto to rule them as they are not capable of that task on their own.

Aside Lagos, no Yoruba town is developed if you check their indigenous homes in Togo through Benin to Nigeria

Disintegrate Nigeria today and see how the Yorubas in Nigeria will start competing with their people in Togo and Benin in terms of development

This thread is meant to expose the deep psychosis affecting the Yoruba and how it has led to obsessive opposition to Biafran seccesion.

Hopefully, the Afonjas will take a break from their persistent bitter busy body over Biafran issue that doesn't concern them and channel that wasted energy and frustrations towards reforming their society and repositioning themselves to the status of a proud independent race of black Africans and not the subservient slaves of Jihadist holding the colonial plantation on the behest of their European banker imperialist.

Yoruba wake up!

I have the radical idea that your thread isn't going to change anything. You will just get people defensive because no one likes to be denigrated. Moreover, at this stage, it does nothing for our struggle. I'm more interested in making sure that the upcoming (s)election in Anambara is a complete dud.

Moreover, we are not thinking of forming a new union with Yoruba, so what exactly is the point?

You deserve a silly answer for your silly write up. Because we currently are enjoying your sweat and benefitting from your hardship. When we finish your resources we will give you independent. The igbo work hard in places like Lagos and other south west states, pay taxes to us and we simply enjoy all their sweat, life cant be easier than that. Doubt my response makes you happy but its what you deserve @sshole.

What are you rambling about didn't your SE governors come out against restructuring. Umahi did then changed his tune after backlash. Rochas did today talking about repackaging. Then the never come out support measure for referendum. The call for unity every time as a group.

SW governors like Ambode called for progressive measures like state police, end to land use act, right to as many LGA's as state pleases. Governor of Ondo wishes to run prisons.

Stop talking about development. You were already shut down today on last thread. The poverty stats and IGR numbers disagree.

Blue3k:

UN Poverty Statistics regional breakdown

1.) SW-19.3%
2.) SS-25.2%
3.) SE-27.4%
4.) NC- 42.6%
5.) NE-76.8%
6.) NW-81.1%

Ps: SE States are the most dependant on federal allocation in South. Look at Ebonyi 2nd most dependent to borno.

Pls reduce Mud houses ( Poverty ) in your indigenous settlements that cut across Togo Benin and Nigeria first before boasting of wealth that appears only in mud houses.

So you want them to end up like their undeveloped towns in Togo and Benin republics.

They know it's Yoruba that can make or mar their phantom biafra that is why they are always bittered about Yoruba nation. It's just a complex problems for them. Have you forgotten that they can't survive without our region. If they are serious about their biafra let them all relocate to the south east but I bet you they can't because they know they are jesters. The sensible ones among them don't mind the miscreants called biafrans.

OP, Yorubas do not have any sensebof self determination. As long as a Yoruba man is getting important political positions in Nigeria such as President, Vice-president or maybe even the Senate Presidency, they are content with Nigeria. They may make some noise about restructuring from time to time but its all noise and nothing else.

The concept of an Oduduwa Republic is just laughable, their is no agitation for it and there never will be. Self determination is beyond the comprehension of must Yorubas. That's why majority of them still think that Ojukwu and Nnamdi Kanu are fools.

Anyone who rises up in Nigeria with an independence movement is a fool to them.

And you think such people are freedom fighters? No. They just care about political positions in Nigeria and nothing more

Anybody that aligns with sowore, also rebelled against Jonathan and as such against your freedom and liberties.

And that means, all you daft revolutionaries wasted your vote twice in a row - you definitely voted Buhari in 2015 and you did same in 2019 or wasted it on sowore.

You are now demanding that you are entitled to peaceful protest under a tyrant, when you had all your civil liberties to vote freely for your choice in 2015. But what did you do? You allowed fools like Sowore to sway you with cheap baseless propaganda to support and vote a historical despot who normally should have been in kirikiri serving a life sentence for high treason.

Now that same Mr Integrity is applying his absolute sharia interpretation of treason to clampdown on your own stupidity to follow a known agent provocateur and a staunch advocate and promoter of the tyrant. And what do you do? You blame us for not joining and castigate the security officers who are only answerable to their superiors and who will definitely make money from your monkey ass.

Can Hades fight Satan?

You people are as dense and stupid as your almajiri cousins.

Don't put your failed lame ass gay revolution on us that refused to join your folly or the police that were mobolized to check your foolishness.

At the end, nah una children go curse una for voting Buhari in the first place and not us that did not join your latest stupidity.
