OoduaVanguard:Apart from hawking expired Gala and pirated CD's, another business wen ibos bee don dey dominate now is - PROSTITUTION. It used to be the forte of Akwa-Cross & Bendel girls before, but now the ibos have taken over it. If you go to all the brothels in Nigeria, you will discover that majority of the Ashawo's are ibos. There is a certain man notorious for his chain of meduim class brothels in Lagos, his name is Ndokwa. Most of his girls are ibos. He has a particularly big one at Mile2 called Ndokwa Triple Tower Hotel, it houses about 200 Ashawo, some as young as 18years. All of them are ibos. I dont patronise them. I only go there for evangalism. Lol 11 Likes |

Lisabi Mills (Nigeria) Limited the pioneer food processing company in Nigeria was established in 1939 by Late Mr. Josephus Kayode Ladipo. Today, the company is run by his son Shex Olusegun Ladipo. He is a firm believer in using local content coupled with modern technology, to produce products that are wholesome, hygienic and convenient. As a scion of the Lisabi (Foods) dynasty, Shex had very early exposure to industry, and was appointed Managing Director of the company in 2008, having served previously in various other capacities for over 20 years. Over the years, the company has withstood the harsh business terrain, and continued to make great strides. It refines and packages traditional foods and fortified products, in clean hygienic user-friendly packs, which are targeted at middle-class and upper-income consumers. It is currently seeking ways to produce fortified nutrient-rich foods for low-income families, all over the country. The company currently produces and markets Gold’s Custard product. It also creates easy-to-prepare versions of traditional foods, like bean flour, yam flour, wheatmeal flour, as well as the popular Wheat-O breakfast cereal. Despite the significant challenges it has had in developing, producing and marketing nutrient-rich foods to reach a large proportion of Nigerian citizens, it has still succeeded in carving out a substantial market share in several markets, where it competes with larger more established multinational brands. Its' turnover and profit is a closely-guarded secret, but industry watchers confirm that it runs into lots of millions. Established in 1939, Lisabi Mills Nigeria Limited, is the oldest indigenous food-processing company in Nigeria. The company’s longevity and reputation are a major accomplishment, in a context where few food-processing companies survive beyond 6 Likes

All these so-called and alleged achievements by Yari.ba are lightweight and not tangible. Nigeria government created Lagos with the enabling factors that made it possible to showcase talents that would have been ordinarily not possible. 1 Like |

Dedetwo, come and tell me what you think about this: Yorubas are the movers and shakers of Nollywood Amazing! Nigerian Movies Gross over N1 billion in 2016 Here’s how 2016’s Top 10 Chart looks like for Nigeria – Please note that not all the figures are verified rather we have used Filmhouse Cinema’s weighted average market share to come up with box office estimates for films not released by FilmOne. The Wedding Party – FilmOne Nollywood – Over N500 million - Yoruba Producer A Trip to Jamaica – FilmOne Nollywood – N178.5 million - Yoruba Producer Batman Vs Superman – Warner/Crimson – N140 million (Estimated) Captain America – Marvel/Disney/Crimson – N119 million (Estimated) Suicide Squad – Warner/Crimson – N116 million (Estimated) London Has Fallen – Independent/Okhma – N90 million (Estimated) Doctor Strange – Marvel/Disney/Crimson – N85 million (Estimated) Gods of Eqypt – Independent/Okhma – N80 million (Estimated) Mechanic Ressurection – Independent/Okhma – N75 million (Estimated) 76 – Silverbird Nollywood – N72 million (Estimated) From AY Makun‘s “30 Days in Atlanta”, Ebonylife‘s “Fifty”, Omoni Oboli‘s “Wives on Strike” to Kunle Afolayan‘s “The CEO”, and now “A Trip to Jamaica”, “The Wedding Party”, “93 Days”, “76” and many more, it is clear that the Nigerian movie industry has the potential to rake in billions of dollars in revenue. The Wedding Party, Nigeria’s latest blockbuster movie, has broken box-office records at every milestone since it was released nationwide on December 16 2016. It took just two weeks to eclipse the record of N178 million, held by ‘A Trip to Jamaica’, emerging with a staggering N200 million before the New Year weekend was over. Both films led a strong lineup of popular Nigerian films in 2016, including ‘Wives on Strike’, ‘The CEO’, ‘93 Days’ and ‘76’. The Wedding Party debuted with the biggest opening weekend in Nollywood history with N36 million; the best-ever opening week with N66 million; the biggest week ever with N110 million; and a jaw-dropping Christmas box-office total of N146 million. 2 Likes |

Dedetwo: But why must you people wait on Nigeria to help you turn your region to Dubai? Yorubas were able to single-handedly build the first skyscraper in sub-Saharan Africa in the early sixties amongst many other firsts, without FG support. Till today no single building in the entire SE and SS can match that Cocoa House edifice in height and elegance 50-years later. After the Lagos and Abuja CBDs, no other CBD in Nigeria can match Ibadan's up till today (as attached below). Why can't you people demonstrate flashes of greatness like we Yorubas without depending on the FG?? Common 2nd Niger Bridge your people can't even come together and build it without FG.
