What are some of the things missing in the Nigerian automobile landscape that you wish you had access to as a consumer?

Dependable vehicle repair, vehicle storage, vehicle customization, stocks of still useful used cars?

Let me hear your point of view.

Thanks Nurey.

Could you give examples of vehicle customizations as it applies to Nigeria?

Thanks.

Fog light (including bumper upgrade if possible)

Roof railings (talking about sienna and some other cars who have trims)

those suspension parts may be exclusive only to gold crusted customers. They are always expensive and no average nigerian is ready to churn out a million plus on suspension customization

HID headlamp against the normal bulb

grill (You know those grills with the car maker logo missing)

body kits (side skirts and boot tail fin etc etc)

Hello EgunMogaji, are the cars in the pictures lowriders? How much could they possibly cost? Thanks

Yes they are.

Like most things in life the prices varies.

You can get in cheap with pick up trucks at around $5,000 and quickly go up into the $50,000 range depending on how elaborate the suspension and paint job is.

I've seen a similar Audi offered for around $9,000

[s]Let me chip in with the non technical part, financing.... I don't just want a financing that has hidden figures and cost an arm and leg.. . Oh, i know Nigeria has no database bla bla bla bt those with verifiable source of income[/s]
Modified : As oga said vehicle owner, i have to modify.
Trade in, yes, i want to be able to trade in my old vehicle with the latest one, not until some dealer cut my neck after pushing me front and back for weeks or months. Trade in is snappy and stress free

Government can help us to also enjoy recall services in this country.

This is actually absolutely on point.

Not only trade I but a dealer that buys your car without you buying from them. Like CarMax.Com

Thanks.

I will like quality collision repair services including SRS systems.. Most collision repairs in Nigeria just includes welding, replacement of fenders and painting.

So so on point.

Eg, interior detailing... I see alot of car upholstery in the past and i said ti myself, why shouldn't the owner have just left it as it was before or just cover it up. I mean, i have this thorn chair and dont have money to replace it, why someone help me out easily, instead of me worrying about, will it be comfortable like before? How good will it be?
Almost all the upholstery work i have seen in the past is very obvious that this isn't wat factory made seat was. Let this artisans and material just be available at a reasonable price

If you want to do Nigerians a favor, provide good roads. Majority of issues car owners go through here are as a result of terrible roads

Those are of course very good and required items.

I started the thread from the point of view of a startup and not a government agency. Apologies for not been clear.

Well, in that case I would have loved to say : availability of instalment payment and swap options but I'm afraid Nigerians will always find a way to abuse the system

So, perhaps just provide good quality oem parts and knowledgeable kazeems who knows what they're doing at an affordable rate too, let everything else sort itself out

I'm seriously looking at in house financing and studying other models in Africa.

By swap do you mean trade in?

Actually the model I'm working on is even regardless of previous purchase.

What kind of storage?
I would say dependable vehicle repair and all others shall be added unto thee.

Indoor (in enclosed building) and outdoor long term storage of vehicles.

Thanks for your input.
