Hello House, Has anyone flew ETHIOPIAN AIRLINE recently to US and especially to the West Coast- Phoenix Arizona. What was the experience? Any difficulty on the way? How cool is Ethiopian Airline? Any worries at POE or concern to be noted? I found them to be fair in pricing compared to the Europe, UK and Golf airlines. Do they provide accommodation for long lay over- 13hrs to 20hrs. Travel is for August with 2 kids... Secondly, anyone with Hospital and doctor info that is cheaper than 8k for CS at Phoenix? Pls post or pm. Pls i need help with the info before ticket hold expires on friday. Thank you all. |

bestbuyer: I have not flown Ethiopian airline, but have read reviews here of people that flew them, from what i can remember, they saId it was fair. With this long layover ,i guess your transit point is Addis and not Lome? |

Veeeeery long post alert! A big weldone to all the mamas and papas in the house and congratulations on all new births and about to be parents in the house. My post is 2 years overdue and i cant but appreciate this forum . In 2015, i had my baby in richmond Virginia and because of all the information here i didnt have to ask questions from anyone. Please those that ask questions should always read tru. Its full of all necessary information. Back to my story. I got my visa then for a conference that i didnt plan to attend. I joined this site and realised i should have said the truth. I called the embassy (i live in South Africa) and was told i could travel with it but i have to convince the CBP officer i could pay my bills. All went well and i had my baby then. Fastforward to 2017, for renewal, i was torn between lying again or saying the truth. I decided to say the truth and i had all my burden of proof. Heres my interview VO : why are you going to the states this time around ME: for child birth VO: Are you travelling alone? ME: Yes VO: Y? Do you have family there? ME: No VO: Do you have a budget sheet? ME: Yes and i handed it over along with the letter from my dr and hospital VO: You had your baby there before? ME: Yes and i have all the receipts VO: Let me see and your bank statement ME: i handed them over and she flipped through all VO: whao! Am impressed you kept all your receipts and you are so organised. Then she calculates the hospital bill and dr's fees and compares with my budget sheet and bank statement. She smiles and says congratulations your visa has been approved. ME: Thank you. I owe it all to God and to the wonderful pple on this forum. It pays to tell the truth and have your burden of proof as well. I used Chippenham$ Johnston willis hospital and the quote for 2015 is still the same with 2017 Sorry for the extra long post 19 Likes |

peace004:Question 1: No they are 2 different entities, one is a hospital, while the other is a birth center, stay away from the birth center Question 2: Visit the hospital website and search for doctors affiliated to the hospital Question 3: No answer. Question 4: type budget sheet in the search space above and narrow It to travel section or search for dora2007 post Question 5: There are no fixed rules, you can apply alone and let your husband serve as your tie to home or both of you can apply, which ever you are comfortable with 2 Likes 1 Share |

veegurl:The information is correct from the vital record requirements on paper. However, I was advised to go with a second ID by the hospital and the county officer (@ Fort Bend, Texas) insisted on a second ID. Sometimes rules are applied differently from what is written black and white. 1 Like |

Hello everyone, so I gave birth to my cute little princess upper Wednesday (July 5) , thanks to people that have been sending their wishes. And I'm so sorry that I've not been replying mails, esp naija greatest and naija summary. Will reply asap. So far, B.C and SSN have been gotten, waiting for the notarized form from Naija to apply for her U.S passport. However, naija consulate in Atlanta seems to be having some kinda issue at the moment , which is making application for her naija passport impossible for now, I'm still waiting for them tho but if by first week in August it's d same, will have to do visa-on-arrival. Although, I don't know how that works or how long it takes, hoping someone will enlighten me. Thank you all and by the way, I used Piedmont Atlanta, awesome hospital. 12 Likes |

Hi House, My wife and I wanted to use Chicago hospital for out second baby but we later change our decision to use DelSol Medical Centre where we had our first child, since it's not so feasible that I'll travel due to work schedule. I have initiated communication with the hospital and awaiting my await my wife appointment letter from the hospital. Do I send a letter of change of intent to the embassy? (if yes what mail address please?). Please what document do you suggest she need to take along with her for her POE. |

borryworld: I didn't have a second one and they wanted to rain on my parade. But if you have a second one, just hold it. States differ in the way they operate |

michnib: No you don't have to write a change of intent letter to the embassy My advice is for you to hold your statement of zero balance plus all your old receipts from your 1st missionary journey Using a different Dr from what you a mentioned during interview shouldn't be an issue, just hold Dr and hospital correspondence for this new Dr you plan to use. |

Babatwi: Ethiopia airline is not just good airline but great....I flew with them to China on official assignment three times and i have had no reason to regret that. Any layover in Addis of over 8 hrs, you will be entitle to a hotel accommodation. Even their aircraft is good. I just love everything about them. Cant wish for more 1 Like |

Chijiuche: Hello All, Thanks for the reply. You know two or three witnesses are enough to confirm once thoughts. I called Ethiopian Airline Adis Ababa to ask about hotel reservation and was told to send email to wasres@ethiopianairlines.com 10 days before the flight for free hotel accommodation at the lay over point (Washington DC) for this case. Just felt so sorry for Nigerian Airlines missing out on this..... Thanks and God bless... My people... |

My sister flew with them and her husband did last week friday, I dont know what issues your are expecting but none was witnessed. The usual thing is getting questioned (by a US official-someone like a CBP) at doha before you board your US bound flight. as per layover, I do not know. You may need to contact their customer service on that urblackpearl: |

Could you please start by googling hospitals close to where you would stay then start reaching to them they will send you all you need. I promise you it's very easy just check the differenc in time so as to know when to call. MrsNaz: 3 Likes |
