officialdayo: You don't have an FJ17, it's imaginary. Your navy can't fire anything above the 76mm shell which only scratches paint. We can bring to your shores - 4 stealth frigates - 3 stealth submarines - Supply ship Carrying: - 5 Rooivalks - 1 Electric Warefare Oryx - 32+ Exocet missiles - 128+ SAMs - 100s of rockets Then - We can sink all your Chinese patrol boats, do damage to your costal infrastructure, all your oil installations gone and then purge up 140km inside your territory for whatever infrastructure we can damage while parked 70kms from your shores. Then put the South African flag in Victoria Island while watching your small butt girls bath End of story 5 Likes |

Enough guys. Jeez. Neither country can go to war with one another and win, it's as simple as that, and if that was to happen, South Africa will never win a war if that war is to take place in Nigeria, and Nigeria will never win a war against South Africa if it was to take place in SA. Neither country can sustain such war for long. Even Germany ran out of missiles in Syria. And if there is going to be conflict, do you guys actually think Nigeria will fight SA with her current hardware? I don't think so, wars don't start overnight, it takes time to build up, i can assure you that Nigeria's military assets will be upgraded and if there isn't enough time to train our own people, then those equipment will be manned by foreign soldiers, and SA will also upgrade hers. So all these silly comments is a waste of time, we are wasting time on something that will never happen. And i mean Never. Neither country possesses the capability ActivateKruger: |

Iblawi1: I think this SA vs Nigeria bullshiiiiit is played out know. Anyway none of those ships are conducive for South African seas especially our west coast. SA nor Nigeria will have sufficient ship numbers or classes in the foreseeable 5-10years to maintain a naval assault beyond 30 days without replenishment. |

Sizzorkay: Actually we have the capability to sink all the ships you have. 4 frigates with 32 Exocet missiles, remember? Do your math.... And we still have the supply ship the SAS Drakensburg, the torpedoes from the subs? In fact we can sink every "war ship" in West Africa without going back to base. 1 Like |

DictatorZAR1: SAS Drakensburg remember? The frigates can endure a month then big daddy SAS Drakensburg has 12 500 tons worth of food/water/oil and ammo to supply after the initial month. But anyways, who needs 2 months for the NN, all her fleet can decorate the seabed in hours 4 Likes |

Iblawi1: bro i always felt ur a sensible person so let me correct u the radars of a ship will never be able to pick up a un-submerged submarine, forget about a submarine snorkel , against the heavy sea clutter. which is why ships have hull mounted sonars or towed sonars to detect submarines the radars of a ship r optimized for 1.picking up air targets at long ranges 2.picking up surface vessel targets at short ranges it is basically due to simple laws of physics ie curvature of the earth aka limitation of radio horizon for detecting submarines u will need ASW helicopters or patrol aircrafts or UAVs equipped with sensors like sonar buoys, dunking sonars , MAD sensor , airborne specialized maritime surface search radars , carbon emission detection sensors etc including ships which have hull mounted sonars or towed sonars to detect submarines. 2 Likes |
