Adogbejiomoefe: You can get documents after staying for 10yrs in hiding then offer yourself for deportation then beg the deportation judge for green card. |

If you are connecting, make sure you have enough time to get into JFK, then take the shuttle to EWR and then on to your destination. If you miss your flight, they should be able to put you on the next flight. plenty options for JFK to EWR shuttle - https://www.google.com/search?q=shuttle+from+jfk+to+ewr&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS704US704&oq=shuttle+from+JFK+&aqs=chrome.2.0j69i57j0l4.7687j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 valeria: 1 Like 1 Share |

Good evening all, your pieces of advice could be helpful here, No 1: can i go with some bottles of alcoholic drinks in my checkered in-luggage{2 bottles of mumm champagne and a bottle of chivas wiskey) will it be a contraband issue? No 2: can i go with my prescribed medicine e.g Viagra, though i cant find the Dr prescription. Thanks 1 Like |

Adogbejiomoefe:it's possible if you get in touch with the US department of state or Immigration they will assist you with getting a legal stay.... Hopefully it will happen immediately you presented yourself to the authority for stay...Why did they trust you with a diplomatic passport? Those that did that are really mad.. because traveling on a diplomatic passport with the intention of migrating is biggest crime that can be committed... what a shame. 5 Likes 1 Share |

amuwo1980:I think it's allowed but why not get the champagne in U.S instead of stressing over what will happen at the airport. I have no idea what the policy on traveling with prescribed medicine is at the moment. |

seyewest:This is asylum seeking I guess. If you claim asylum as soon as you enter you will be taken to a deportation holding facility, have your case heard by a deportation judge, God help you if he is a republican . Trump factor will enter the equation and you may find yourself in Nigeria before you say jack Robinson 4 Likes |

Jamezy4u: All Border Officers have same training so for genuine traveler you don't have anything to fear at the PoEs. If your PoE is not your final destination, ensure you have valid bus tickets and/or confirmed air tickets for the onward journey to your final destination. |

You may be eligible to receive a Green Card as an International Organization employee or qualified family member if you meet one of the following conditions: You are... ......a retired officer or employee of such an international organization (or his or her accompanying or follow to join spouse) and While maintaining your status as a nonimmigrant, you have resided and been physically present in the U.S. for a total of at least half (50%) of the last 7 years before you apply for adjustment of status or for a visa; and You have a combined period of physical residence in the U.S. of at least 15 years before your retirement; and You filed a petition for special immigrant status (Form I-360) no later than 6 months after your retirement. ...a surviving spouse of a deceased officer or employee of such an international organization While maintaining your status as a nonimmigrant, you have resided and been physically present in the U.S. for a total of at least half (50%) of the last 7 years before you apply for adjustment of status or for a visa; and You have a combined period of physical residence in the U.S. of at least 15 years before the death of your spouse; and You filed a petition for special immigrant status (Form I-360) no later than 6 months after your spouse’s death. ...an unmarried son or daughter of a current of former officer or employee of a designated international organization and While maintaining your status as a nonimmigrant, you have resided and been physically present in the U.S. for a total of at least half (50%) of the last 7 years before you apply for adjustment of status or for a visa; and You have a combined period of physical residence in the U.S. of at least 7 years between the ages of 5 and 21; and You apply for either a visa or adjustment of status no later than your 25th birthday. https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/other-ways-get-green-card/green-card-international-organization-employees 1 Like |

Seg05:So far you're not leaving the airport... What I'm concern about and you should be is the kind of plane they will use, How long is the layover especially when you're traveling with your family and if the airline will provide hotel for you incase of longer layover... People use Egyptair to U.S everyday. |

Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by KaptainAfrika: 4:23pm On Jul 23, 2017 |
Please avoid North African airlines (not to be confused with the much better middle-east airlines) They have no plan for layover for long layovers - no hotel, no vouchers, nothing. Their planes are old. But if you don't mind the discomfort, they are relatively cheap. 3 Likes |

KaptainAfrika:They sometimes provide accommodation to white,Asian etc but not to west Africans most times so you've to read on the flight experience and ground service of that airline. |

Hey Guys, So I'm back again. I've got a few questions and I'd appreciate your input. This is my first trip to the US BTW. 1. I'm traveling in two weeks, August 8, flying Egypt Air to NY. I've already paid for a hotel in Brooklyn for three nights. But it's different from the one I used for my visa application (I had to cancel it because it wasn't really as nice as the new one and I was supposed to pay on arrival). I hope that won't be an issue? 2. I'm attending the Youth Assembly at the United Nation from August 8-12 in New York, after which I'd be going to Austin, Texas till August 29 when I'd return to Nigeria. I have my return ticket already for NY -Austin-NY. Which address do I fill in? 3. My host in Austin is a friend and an American. Do I ask the person to send me an invitation letter in case I'm asked at the POE? 4. My cousin (not direct blood cousin) lives in Hampton, Virginia. She just emigrated last year with her daughter, to meet her husband, who is also my cousin. She had asked me to bring some foodstuff for her and some hair extensions too. But during my visa application, I filled that I do not have any family in the US. What possible response can I give? Or can I say I brought them for a friend? 5. What's the minimum amount of cash to carry? Is $300/$400 fine? I have up to $1000 on my VISA card. Graçias. |

rolly86:How many days will you be spending in U.S and you can use another hotel so far it's hotel.. just confirm the reservation before leaving Nigeria. Use the hotel address and let them know you're in U.S for United Nation youth Assembly if you will be staying for more than 20 days you can take food stuffs just take it easy because I normally don't like that. |
Re: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by seyewest(m): 6:08pm On Jul 23, 2017 |
purplecircle: No we did not ignore you... we've many instances about Etihad on this thread which you can go through... Just for info do you know that the POE is in Abu Dhabi not U.S.A so you will be screened and stamped in Abu Dhabi by U.S CBP officer. How long is your layover? |
