Good morning great Xiaomi Family. I charged my xiaomi note 4X to full battery yesterday and switched it off. This morning I woke up nd the phone was hot and refuses to come up when I press the On button. I plug in the charger and the indicator was just blinking red for like one hour now. Please what can I do? Cc: Noobody, Gptech, ProteinO. All the gurus. 1 Like 1 Share |

Deedee27:Don't know what those guys are thinking, I have watched a video that shows the lights can be changed to the usual 7 colours. |

Gptech: It can be done with Tasker but your charging notification will have an infinite loop |

Zhaligkeer:Maybe what you need to do is format through recovery mode environment because a bug is preventing the device from starting up. Cheers! I'll advise that y'all wait for the final version of MIUI before you update to be on safer ground and avoid test builds not to discouraged new and intending Xiaomians on this forum. Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 10:23am On Jul 20, 2017 |
mike234:There is no rival for the Samsung note series because of the S pen, of course the Note and the S series are essentially thesame, save for the S pen and the added features to make it useful. 3 Likes |

Opistorincos:They better fix it themselves, waiting for for Android N sha, let's see what will happen. Erm, you use Redmi 4x and you are on Chinese developer rom right? Meaning you are already on Nougat. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by mike234: 10:29am On Jul 20, 2017 |
Gptech: Thanks for that info. I own a samsung note 4 and redmi pro. I see myself pressing the samsung more . I think that explains why. |

Zhaligkeer: connect your phone to PC and check the device manager, if there is "com 900E" you need to open your device or deep flash cable. Check YouTube on how to open your device, disconnecting and reconnecting battery and USB cables. But before that, have you pressed (and held) the power button for a long duration? 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by GrandMufti: 10:34am On Jul 20, 2017 |
Deedee27: The picture you posted is the changelog for the update. If the white notification bug is not included, then it's pointless updating Here is the changelog of the update http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=658568&extra=page%3D16&mobile=2 But 8.2.12.0 is already pushed to random users. Why not wait. Again I'm not even sure the bug is solved in this upcoming rom |

write2obi: Yes. Ads keep popping up. What I do is to use opera mini to navigate to the download page, then copy the download link of the movie file, and then proceed to uc browser to download. Enable ad blocking in opera mini. Uc has it also, but it's not effective. |

GrandMufti: You mean I should loose the phone to check the battery?if I eventually do that, don't you think I should just use a desktop to charge the battery and flash another rom? Probably the initial one though I didn't back it up. Thanks |

GrandMufti:Which movie site is that? I use Fzmovies for downloading movies with atleast 720p resolution at lesser data volume (not more than 200-300mb). The Site is impressive but they lack some major movies i really need to see. 1 Like |

Gptech: Oh. Thanks for the input. So Xiaomi will skip miui 8 and jump to miui 9? I actually thought Redmi sees OS updates. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by GrandMufti: 10:56am On Jul 20, 2017 |
MeinKampf: Yes check YouTube on how to open the back cover. If the battery is swollen, then it's probably damaged and you'll need to get a new one. If it's not swollen, disconnect the battery from the phone and reconnect. But if your pc can recognize your phone, leave it to charge for a long time then reflash |

Gptech: Thanks boss. It's indeed a bug. The ROM that came with the phone was unstable but it's already on its way to the trash. Thanks for all your input NB: I pressed both volume down and power keys and voila, the phone vibrated and I saw the beloved mi.com |
