Talking of iron levels, my daughter had same issues at some point.

Now, if you are not actively breastfeeding, you need to give a formula that has high/good iron content.

I noticed most of our "local" formulas don't have enough iron, at a point, I almost regretted why I didn't give similac like I did for my son but I waved it off.

To solve the issue, my doctor asked that I included iron containing foods to her meals. I was advised to increase intake of soybean, liver, egg yolk, crayfish. I was also told to add a spoon of palm oil to her meals. So, I ensured that I also added palm oil to her pap.

3 months after now, she's perfectly ok and no such issues again. Also, look for Reload Multivite. It did a good job for us.

Now, she eats everything so her meals are lot varied.

I don't think the weight is bad. My baby was 3.1kg at birth and dropped to 2.8kg 5 days after. He weighed 4kg at 6 weeks and 6.4kg at 10weeks. All babies lose 7-10% of their birth weight few days after birth due to loss of fluid they are born with. This is perfectly normal but can become a concern if they don't begin to regain the weight after about 2 weeks.
I do think it will be a good idea to express and feed her with a bottle so you know exactly how much milk she's taking as there's no way of telling what she's getting when she feeds directly. You can then think about introducing formula if you are not producing enough milk. The important thing is that baby feeds and develops well whether she's on breastmilk or formula.

Piece of advice to working mothers who are doing EBF. If you are still on leave and want to continue EBF when you resume work, pleaseeeeeee, start 'bottle training' LO like 2 weeks before you resume. My DS showed me shege this week and I've learnt my lesson the hard way. He just kept pushing out the bottle with his tongue as if I gave him bitterleaf. Thank God we still have a few weeks before resumption.

We use baby toothpaste, like half the size of a rice grain so you know how tiny the size i use daily is, with finger toothbrush, very soon, we will soon graduate to regular baby toothbrush. For now, becos like 4 teeth are cutting thru, I use cotton wool cos the gums might be tender. Also wipe his tongue. Cotton wool and water shd do for his tongue

I used finger brush with water until Bee got to a year old. I just made sure I did it frequently, his mouth never had odour.
Gently wipe all corners of his mouth, then the tongue. Got the finger brush 3h at that time, don't know how much it is now.

And wat kind of detergent can one use for either that is baby skin friendly? I mean clothes just bought from the market; not been worn by baby yet?

I wish my hyperactive toddler will b as patient as your son. I still use cotton wool and toothpaste(colgate strawberry for kids 0-2years),very tiny amount on d cotton wool. After it all,he'll say "water" i.e to gargle with and swallow o. I've showed him to several times to spit the water out but i guess he's not ready yet

I have used it to brush his teeth thrice. He actually enjoyed it. Maybe it's cos it helped scratch his itchy gums.
