Bilikiss Adebiyi

Bilikiss Adebiyi is an inspiring Nigerian social entrepreneur and founder of WeCyclers. Her company offers waste collection and recycling services to the Lagos informal settlements, where an estimated 66% of Lagosians live. As a part of the process, residents are offered an incentive for collecting their household waste which is picked up for free by Wecyclers using specially adapted bicycles. To create incentives among low-income households to participate, rewards are given to them for every kilogram recycled, via points sent by SMS. These points are then redeemable against goods they value, such as cell phone minutes or basic food items. The rewards have been funded in partnership with big brands such as Coca Cola and GlaxoSmithKline.

Femi Olayebi

It all started with a diaper bag. In 1992, having just learnt how to use a sewing machine, Femi Olayebi decided to make a baby bag for her first baby, who is now a beautiful 23-year old. Before she knew it she was making diaper bags for friends and family. In 1994 she became what she calls the 'accidental entrepreneur' and formed a company which she called My World of Bags, continuing to produce bags of every kind - and loving it! From outrageously coloured handbags made from anything she could lay her hands upon, there was no stopping her!

The company stable includes two distinct lines, the first, a leather handbag line, FEMIHANDBAGS and the second, a functional and corporate line which takes its name from the company, MYWORLDOFBAGS , and boasts a stunning range of multi-function, ethnic-styled products such as conference bags and folders, document holders, tech accessories and so much more.
And so, whether it's a leather tote, a sleek phone pouch, or a conference folder, all the company's products fall within the niche of African-themed and contemporary, and can always be distinguished by its individual signature style.

Every product is meticulously handcrafted in Femi’s design workshop in Nigeria. A French graduate and translator by profession, Femi consistently pours her creative energy into every product, paying great attention to the minutest details, and looking to her culture for inspiration, cleverly incorporating traditional elements (the traditionally hand-woven and vibrantly coloured aso-oke is one of her favourites) into sophisticated silhouettes. For her, the excellence is in the details!

Lol. A bigot is what you simply are. This thread cost us a great deal of time and effort. You've simply chosen to deliberately overlook the truth and stick with your bigotry. You're wrong if you think I'm going to waste my time in trading invectives with you. This thread is meant to serve as an eyeopener for our Yorùbá kindred home and abroad, we need them to stay woke and see the Ibos for who/what they really are - noisy chestbeaters. We need to bring the greatness of the Yorùbá tribe to their awareness and save them from being intimidated by the lies of useless propagandists. You're from Rivers and do not by any chance fall into the targeted demographic. You're just a hater and Yorubaphobe trying to stay relevant. Wouldn't be surprised if you actually reside in the South West, trust me, I've seen a lot of people like you. No time to describe how disgraceful you are, Keep biting the fingers that finger you.

If you really do not still know what Yorùbás have produced, take your time to read the thread all the way from page 0 to 150. Now run along, you've got a homework to do. smiley

My dear. Yolobats have posted many pics but only few can be called 'products' in the intellectual or technological sense. Out of the few, many are NOT KNOWN to Nigerians. Their factories were not shown nor can i confirm that they are on yorubaland. It is very easy to dig up pics but the igbo pics were more convincing and proved that they are original. Yoloba pics were shinny and well engineered. They looked like advert pics or pics taken to impress. They were not Production pics per say. So I cannot rate those unknown products especially the yorubamade laptop. I have never seen or heard of it anywhere in naija. Same goes for many lobbish yaribas posted. Go back and see the igbo pics and compare them with the online virtual pics that yaribad posted. You would understand my point. And most importantly, the igbo products were more industrial while the yoloba pics were more service-like or corporate. The latter cannot really count as products. The most important knock out were the armoured tanks, G-wagon and the steel based products the igbos posted and the yolobats still have no answer. Every other 'product' posted by the yolobats has the igbo equivalent. Hence the igbo victory. Am sorry if you feel pained.

There is GRIT systems owned by Ifedayo Oladapo..

They build Internet-enabled smart metres that offer users a simple way to quantify power consumption from multiple power sources — be it solar panels, generators, inverters or direct from the grids — and make informed data driven decisions on how best to power their facilities, reduce costs and protect power sources from improper use.

The smart meters users can remotely view graphs, receive notifications and generate simple language reports about an arbitrarily complex power supply mix.

Olatokunbo Adenike Fagbemi is not just the Executive Director, SpringFountain Infrastructure Limited, she is also the Managing Director of African Aircraft Leasing Company (AALC). Her company plans to invest about $20 billion USD in an aircraft leasing facility, in Nigeria. That facility would also include a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) centre that covers spares, logistics and parts supply, as well as aggregated services solutions.

The proposed investment will enable indigenous airlines lease aircraft at cheaper rate, and without the present cumbersome processes.

In order to achieve this, she has partnered with Boeing Corporation of the United States, a leading aircraft manufacturer. If the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility comes on stream, Nigeria would save $500 million (about N190 billion) annually, which private airlines in West Africa spend conducting aircraft maintenance checks abroad. It would also create an estimated 10,000 jobs locally.

Tokunbo Fagbemi has always been a passionate believer in the Aviation Industry. She is the first Nigerian to be fully qualified and chartered as an International Airport Consultant. After studying Pharmacy at undergraduate level, she acquired an MBA from the prestigious, University of Nevarra, Spain. She also attended prestigious schools such as Lagos Business School (LBS), Cranfield University (UK) and Harvard University where she undertook the Nigeria Infrastructure program to become a certified aviation consultant......

Temie Giwa-Tubosun is the Founder of Lifebank in Nigeria. Lifebank is a health startup that mobilizes blood donations to save lives by taking blood services to donors, rather than making donors come to it. After blood collection, Lifebank delivers the blood to hospitals in Lagos. The process is driven by an app developed by Mrs. Giwa-Tubosun. IN 2017, Lifebank moves to a new phase using smart logistics and big data to deliver a seamless blood supply chain system across Nigeria. Over the next two years, they hope to move 100,000 blood products to save 100,000 lives in Nigeria.
