Hello, thank you for sharing your story. Please i will like to have more information on the following 1. please what did you show to support your proof of compensation - (pay stub, bank statement and all) i read in the application guide that for proof of compensation we have to provide these Pay stubs, pay cheques or pay statements, Bank statements showing salary deposits, Income tax documents, or Letter(s) from employer(s) explaining why this proof is not readily available. Note: It is recommended that you provide proof for the first and last month for each work experience. (the income tax document and the NOTE that is my concern) 2 did you have to maintain the settlement fund as your minimum balance for 6 months prior to your application? 3 How did you show your intent to reside in Ontario? IELTS test has four component which are Listening Writing Reading Speaking. Your score in each of the band determines what you get as an overall band. CLB 7 and higher is required for EE through FSW category. Adesire1: |

Hello guys, I have following the thread but assiduously as I would have liked. Just have some request: 1. I will need some to link me with who can get me my transcript quickly from OAU although I have an original with me, it isn't sealed as mandated by both IQAS or WES for my ECA. 2. Also, I need a sample of the reference letter to be written. The places I worked asked that I send them a template to see and write out. They are a single partnership and I was the one doing most of their administrative functions. Thanks and keep the good works |

Hello everyone, Please I need help with the following questions. 1. In the address history, must I list all places lived in, including places travelled to for short periods? 2. In the ID document, do I list my old and new passport? 3. Under education, I have two degrees, a BSc and MD. I only have ECA for the BSc. Do I list both qualifications in education? Or I list only the BSc and then mention the MD in personal history? Thank you. |

TheWatcher212: if you can please add the IM008 or a letter saying your family composition has not changed. I did not add it to mine , and was worried so i submitted it through the web form. the issue is just following instructions to be on the safe side , they said failure to do so might delay the visa process. Its possible that its not mandatory thou. 1 Like |

Ehrnie: Thanks for your reply @Ehrnie. One more question though, My wife's brother recently got married to his fiancee(she lives in Canada, came to Nigeria for the wedding) that I believe is a PR or Citizen, do you think this counts for additional points for us in the EE pool where it was asked if we have any family living in Canada? My wife is the primary applicant and our estimated CRS score is below 400. Thanks for your time. |

TheWatcher212:*Modified In theory, form IMM008 is not supposed to be compulsory if your family configuration remains unchanged but the experiences of those ahead of us suggests that it may cause delays in visa issuance. Learned that some have had to raise CSEs in order to send this form eventually. It is for the above reason that it is usually advisable to submit the form along with other requirements even if your family composition remains unchanged and therefore escape avoidable delay. In my case, what I did was to write a letter stating that there has been no changes in our family configuration. I "hand-filled" the IMM008 form (unable to fill online) and wrote boldly at the top "no changes in family configuration". Also, on delivery of the passports to Accra, I followed up with an email stating same message. Cheers 4 Likes 2 Shares |

IAMCOMING: Hi @IAMCOMING The proof of compensation requirement is designed to further reinforce claims that you were employed and were paid for your services... not that you just got somebody to write you a reference letter. You don't have to provide everything mentioned in the guide. Pay slips or Bank Statements showing salary credits to your account is enough. If you have income tax clearance certificates, you can include those as well. I approached my Bank to print out my first 3 months bank statement (which was in 2005 and my last three months( which was 2015) even though the account had been closed two years ago. They obliged me. Secondly my settlement fund was in the form of a savings plan that had been growing steadily for more than 4 years. I didn't have the cash in my bank but I still presented my Bank Statement. I got my fund manager to write me letter stating the current balance on my savings plan and the surrender value should I decide to liquidate into cash immediately. Finally, I did some research on the Province and wrote a short piece enumerating my the personal skills, qualification, work experience and my excellent English skills as demonstrated by good scores in IELTS. I ended by mentioning that I had an aunt who resides in Ontario who had promised to ensure a seamless integration into the society and culture for my family. Hope this helps. Good luck! 7 Likes 2 Shares |

superdoll: I think the bolded is a case of mistaken identity. Can't recall posting that Anyway, I did part-time MBA too and I don't think it affected the calculation of my work experience in any way. Yet to come across that issue in respect of Canadian immigration. Maybe for Australian skill assessment.... 1 Like 1 Share |
