Instead of just registering on freelance websites that already have so much competition you have to work against, build your own website for your writing and create packages and plans that clients can subscribe to and promote your site via seo, paid ads, fb groups etc

If you cannot afford to hire someone to build a site for you, learn how to build it yourself. Wordpress has made web building easy for beginners.

If you cannot afford to build a site, start with a blog. It is free

Thank you so much for your response. I think this is a really great idea but I have some concerns. My area of expertise is quite narrow.

I'm a civil engineering undergraduate so I obviously have learned much more but I'm only confident enough to teach/write a textbook on O'level Math and Physics. Won't it affect me? As in how narrow the scope of the website is?

Once I make time to begin building the website/blog, (I have to do it myself because I'm short on funds) I'd like to show it to you to review.

Also, could you make an estimate of how long I have to spend before I actually start to see anything reasonable coming out from it? A major concern I have is that there are just soooo many learning websites like that. Its almost like the market is saturated.

You can break down the lecture into 30 - 60 days and clients will have to log in daily to learn something new. You can even add your own tests to know how your students are fairing.

Well, I cannot give an estimated time but you have to ask yourself "can I do this without getting paid?" If your answer is yes then your passion will push you and your business to success. Concentrate on building something sustainable. Profits will come. Trust me

The fact that you have competition is actually a plus. Study your competition. Learn what they do and what they are not doing. Read reviews and read their customers complaints. Whatever their customers complain about might be what you need to add to your business to get those clients.

Focus on reaching your own customer base. If you can have 100 subscribers and you earn N1,000 monthly from each of them that is N100,000 income. As long as your services are legit and well packaged you will have returning customers and referrals.

It is really all about consistency, persistence and passion.

Anything is achievable. You just have to be confident that you can achieve it

Ya, thanks, i know about monetizing uploads.
But assuming you have a monetized video with 10000 viewers, what are the chances of all or a higher number seeing ads.
I've observed when i use different browsers or systems to watch past videos i've seen before or those of my subscribers(that i'm sure monetize everytime) that sometimes i dont get to see ads.

This means not all your viewers per video will generate your income per video, so i just want to know your opinion towards this.

Let us assume you need people to subscribe to your service, it will be a waste of time to have lots of traffic and no subscriptions. SEO and paid traffic like FB ads and other ad networks is better as they convert more into sales or clicks or whatever it is you need from your visitors
