nemesis2u:Their top military personnels claim they stopped their support for the rebels not because they want to please Russia but because a large portion of the weapons they give them end up in the hands of various terrorist organisation. Why the hell did it take them so long to figure that out . Perhaps, they have always known but they don't want to acknowledge the fact. 1 Like |

Just so you know I've nothing against Jean Fraude, here's Gen de Villiers showing what leaders do when they feel the political system isn't supporting them-they walk! Prez Macron, after promising to increase defense spending cut the budget a massive 5% jeopardising ongoing ops in Syria and the Sahel. “In the current circumstances I see myself as no longer able to guarantee the robust defense force I believe is necessary to guarantee the protection of France and the French people, today and tomorrow, and to sustain the aims of our country,” he said.https://www.theatlantic.com/news/archive/2017/07/france-general-resigns/534132/ I wish all general officers round the world would red this and see how a True Leader acts when he feels the system is compromised beyond repair! Gen de Villiers has been mentioned as a possible replacement to Macron. The MSM has been quiet but there's been MASSIVE UNREST over huge immigration and now projected fuel price increases. In a completely unprecedented move serving and ex generals have publicly submitted a warning letter to Macron, the ex Rothschild banker, now enjoying -15% popularity. Paris, December 07, 2018https://www.minurne.org/billets/19275 Btw,this is happening all over Europe-people are finally fighting back against their Zio bankster leaders-if this move goes all the way there are definite implications for the nature of the French state and by extension Jean-Fraude's false flags with BH and AQ in the Sahel. Iow,BH might be defeated when their Paris backers lose. 2 Likes

Whatever happened to the Su 37 Terminator? Was it just a TD? An experimental platform with TVC? Its a development of the Su 35 and first flew in 96 being marketed as a a super manouevrable fighter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GdfnTLKcvM Since then radio silence! Obviously its not been productionised and I do know the Russians usually have 3 or 4 different but similar projects working concurrently. Has the Terminator technology been inducted into other programs like the PAKFA,Mig 41 etc etc? Nemesis2u,any idea? 1 Like

Heavy supersonic transport is en route, gentlemen! Frankly,we've all neglected this critical battlefield need and as usual Ivan has smth waiting in the wings. These are just 3d renders but the concept is real and should be airborne by 2030 latest. Russia's RT reports that the heavy transport craft, dubbed the PAK TA (Perspective Airborne Complex of Transport Aviation), could fly at supersonic speeds of up to 2,000 km/h (1,243 mph), carry up to 200 tons (181 tonnes) and have a range of 7,000 km (4,350 mi). The program could call for the construction of a fleet of 80 of the new craft to be built by 2024, giving the Russian military the capability to deliver 400 Armata heavy tanks or 900 more lightly armored vehicles to a battlefield in quick fashion.http://newatlas.com/russia-supersonic-cargo-plane-pak-ta/36693/ You can imagine the obvious possibilities! 1 Like

kikuyu1: this was i believe a technology demonstrator , they were used to try out new technologies and judge its feasibility. some of SU37 technology was passed on to SU30 series and the SU35 series. PAKFA MIG41 r clean sheet designs they will have much advanced and different systems built upon the experiences garnered from platforms like SU37 etc 1 Like |

Because the Special branch were misused in the former Mo I era to torture and falsely ararest innocents. Here's what happened when the NIS lacking own powers of action warned cops of Al shabaab infiltration in Boni forest next to Somalia. The group and local sympathisers set up training bases between Boni, Gorji and Belasange on the border with Somalia. LCA MK1A will have the locally designed and build UTTAM AESA radar instead of Israeli ELM 2032 AESA radar , it was confirmed recently few months ago Uttam AESA completed its ground tests and had validated radar performance in Air-to-Air mode and air-to-ground mode now the vibration issues with KAVERI engine needs to be diagnosed and rectified and then bought online . the core was tested successfully years ago. then LCA can truly become a fighter completely made in India with full control over all critical technology, a rare feat among nations with aerospace ambitions. 2 Likes

SHOURYA missile , news about it has completely dried up,though its SLBM avatar K15 has been deployed recently. SHOURYA is a ballistic missile which can fly like a cruise missile in a extremely depressed trajectory and can easily reach hypersonic speeds . this is a very unique missile and to the best of my knowledge only one of its kind in the world.

Zoharariel: I have said it many a time that, when it comes to rocket technology, the Yankees are still learning how to fix the screws. The sons of Rus are king of the rocket doom. Even the devils in Turkey know this to be true, little wonder they're on all fours scrubbing Putin's toilet just to buy the S-400, the same rocket system that has been "painting" all American aircraft in Syria (including the overrated F-22 old lady that spend most of her time on the ground doing her manicure each time it spend some few hours on the air)! Each time I see mendacious folks parroting about those floating bathrooms and that useless patriot defence system, i wonder if they they see beyond the mase of propaganda at all.... Amerika is all about hype...Oh yeah, they have some good toys and a mighty force to reckon with, but the hype does more than the real action. 2 Likes 1 Share |

some of the top of the line critical technologies that have been created successfully for NAVAL LCA. 1.N-LCA undercart for deck ops (carrier ops). 2.Active Levcon control with digital quad FBW. 3.Auto pilot and auto throttle for deck ops. 4.Auto recovery in case of pilot disorientation. Rafale had acquired it only recently. 5.Auto recovery to base in case of instrumentation failures. Even Rafale does not have it. 6.Hands off launch from Ski-Ramp. Only F-18SH has it. 7.Composite construction and validating them in marine environment. 8.Full NVG compliant cockpit which only few, top of the line naval fighters have. 1 Like

nemesis2u: to detect a passive seeker missile, firstly one needs to identify the features that can distinguish the incoming missile from the natural background source. these features generally can be categorized into the following domains 1. spectral domain 2. spatial domain 3. temporal domain SPECTRAL FEATURES 1.Ultraviolet (UV) the missile propulsion system produces an open flame with detectable emissions spread across UV through IR. however there is a small part of the UV region referred to as the solar blind which is of particular interest because almost all sources there are man-made (no natural background). also the sun has strong emissions into the UV spectrum but in this particular region almost all of the suns radiation is absorbed by ozone in the upper atmosphere and hence solar blind. 2.Infrared (IR) infrared emissions from the body of the missile due to aerodynamic heating is detectable (even after motor burnout). IR emissions can be detected at longer range due to negligible atmospheric scattering and also the availability of multiple wavelength bands in the IR region allows for better discrimination and lower false alarm rate . the thermal plume associated with rocket motors (both smoky and smokeless) is detectable due to presence of CO2, water vapor and residual heat in varying amounts. smokeless rocket motors r most difficult to detect . SPATIAL FEATURES 1.the approaching missile is small in dimension while most natural backgrounds are large this allow for size discrimination. 2.a incoming missile on an intercept course with a target will be at a nearly constant relative bearing, while the background will be moving. from the aircraft this constant bearing of the missile is a feature easily distinguishable from the moving background. TEMPORAL FEATURES 1.calculation of the increasing irradiance versus time received from the missile propulsion motor of a rapidly incoming missile allows us to plot the approach geometry of the missile ie intercept course and also estimate the TTI (time to impact). using the combination of the above spectral, spatial, or temporal discrimination features allows us to design missile approach warning systems (MAWS) with high probability of detection and low false alarm rate in order to provide protection from air to air and surface to air missiles using passive seekers (IR/IIR). pic DRDO MAWS note : personal view and maybe wrong

Algerian1: I get the idea of a disguised bomber, the wolf in civvy sheepskin, but frankly using hardpoints on the IL 76 as bomber is a gross underutilisation of an excellent airframe. To use it as a bomber they should use the cargo space as a bomb bay it; can carry over 20 tons of ordnance! That's how the US uses the C130 to drop the MOAB. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_gk49n5djw
