Drugfield Pharmaceuticals Limited, a wholly indigenous Nigerian company, was founded in 1991 and commenced production in 1993 as a drug manufacturing outfit after approval and due recognition of relevant agencies and bodies including the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).

From an initial product dosage form of dermatological antibiotic and antifungal preparations, our facility now houses additional dosage form manufacturing areas for antibiotic dry syrups, capsules, tablets, ointments, creams, gels, powders, eye/ear drops, small and large volume liquid injectable preparations, nasal drops amongst others. In all modesty, we pride ourselves as the highest product portfolio carrier in the industry with over 140 registered product range.

The completion in March 2012 of our ultra modern current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) compliant manufacturing facility for the production of intravenous infusion products (large volume parenterals), creams and gels as well as sterile ophthalmics has enhanced our competence to respond to global operational demands and acceptance.

Our recognition by Regulatory Agencies and International Certification as evidenced by the NIS: ISO 9001:2008 award are clear indications of our progress as a company. With a strong, virile, committed, competent and dedicated professionals and staffs, our activities are felt all over Nigeria and in sub-regional markets.

The main trust of Drugfield business goal has been to be the leader in Multi-dosage Pharmaceutical Products manufacture in Nigeria.

Within three years of the concessioning however, and in the face of serious hostility and inconsistency on the part of the government, Bi-Courtney Limited completed the new domestic airport, now famously known as MMA2, which has been variously described as the best airport in Nigeria today, and definitely the first airport terminal to be built in Africa with private funds without any support from the government.

The Airport constructed under a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) agreement with the Federal Government. It is acclaimed the most modern, functional and well-run domestic airport terminal in the sub-Sahara Africa.

Bi-Courtney was also the first company to win a concession agreement for the reconstruction and modernisation of Nigeria’s busiest highway, the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, under a Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) agreement. However, the project ran into troubled waters shortly after the agreement was signed. I was at Ibadan & Ilesa during the week to support my cousin, as he took his bride to the altar! Ah, I don't think there is any other tribe that knows how to throw good parties, like the Yoruba people! Kilode?! I dance like say, make di music no go end. And my Itele shoes were da bomb! Yes, the quality is top notch and I copped two loafers from him for my sis' wedding.

I think he needs to seek funding and start producing those shoes at a larger scale. And probably get superstar artists like Wizkid, Davido, and Dbanj with star power - to help him with branding.
