I'd advise ACCA because of the international recognition and option of BSC in applied accounting from Oxford Brooks University, and exemptions if you apply for masters in Manchester University....

Please I need more clarity on that BSC part. You mean an automatic B. sc in applied accounting would come with being ACCA certified?

After completing courses F1 - F9, you have an option of writing a project and submitting than be awarded given a BSc in applied Accounting.

Thanks for the info... I have done little research as regards ACCA, only bottleneck is exchange rate. What more useful insights and advice can you give

If money is not a constraint, then ACCA is for you.
I believe Computsr science + ACCA would open doors.

. I would advise you get a good personal tutor...make sure what you know, you know it really well and also try to cover all topics in the pack. Don't forget to use the pathfinder as well. Always pray and put your mind in it. Pm is just a snake-like course that needs a snake-like approach. N.B: Anything you know in pm , make sure you really know them well. I wish u success!

I agree!!! I only studied case study a night before the exam mainly using google search and I came across the ICAEW format, it was very helpful. I structured my report exactly the same way and I passed. Also, not to discredit anyone's hustle, there's a certain blog that claims to have the solutions to ICAN case study questions, be very careful as I found out their report structure and format was very wrong. In their solution, they had a section for professional scepticism, but the ICAN case study guide clearly stated not to have a heading called professional scepticism, you only demonstrate it in the context of your report.
Congrats to everyone that passed their papers and to others still writing, don't give up. I passed all my ICAN papers at one sitting , no tutorial centre, full time job, non accounting graduate. Its very achievable!!

Passing any exam is a function of good preparation and prayer.

I had issues with PM also and I didn't attend any lecture and read only the pack!

I only read an outside material for AB Costing... which came out.

TIPS: try to attempt 5 questions, start preparations early enough, solve, use the pack as prescribed, rest well ( its just 1 paper and u have weekends!)

I was never a fan of past questions because the questions are past and would never be repeated in same way. Rather i try to understand the principles which I can apply no matter the question.

Do you mean that you studied the packs alone? without using past questions? If yes, then good and fine it worked for you.

To those starting newly, my candid advice for you: Make use of past questions not because it will be repeated but because you want to get familiar with the pattern and boost confidence level. Also the past questions are more technical compared to what is on the pack. This makes the study pack not appropriately sufficient (AAA taught us that ), particularly for the ones that require solving.
