Please who can explain this, I received an email from CIC that "your application has been updated" but no new message or updates when I check myCIC account. Has anyone here experienced this? |

Algbenguze: Sorry about that. You were very close! Please keep pushing as you indicated @bolded. Victory is around the corner! BTW, have you thought about applying for a remark? I think you should consider it if you are confident about what you did. That doesn't stop you from booking for another test though, IMO.... 2 Likes |

Algbenguze: Dont worry, u cant afford to be discouraged. I also felt the same way but truth is, take time and check why u keep getting 6.5 in your Reading. you may need to practice each section well, especially the T, F and NG type of questions. Lots of people miss it there...but u'll be fine. Just a little push, and you're there. Remember, nothing good comes easy 1 Like |

MrsBee: when was the last time you noticed a change on your application? if recently, as recent as Thursday or Friday last week, the email may be the corresponding mail in effect. |

Hello everyone. I am the primary applicant and my husband is applying as my dependent because I am much younger and my CRS tool scores are much higher. However, he has all the funds that we need to show as POF in his account. Will he have to transfer the money to my account and give me a gift deed or LOE ? Or, since he is my spouse, can I just use his statement like that as POF and attach an LOE from him? And do I have to show any statement from the bank for myself as my money no reach or just one POF from one person is enough? Thanks everyone. |

MrsBee: Yes, one successful PR friend of mine says there will be a lot of those "junk" emails where you log on profile and nothing has changed on it. But I guess something definitely happened in background to cause that update. Slowly but surely..... |

Algbenguze: @Algbenguze, sorry to hear about your result. I wish you the very best in your next sitting. I quote you that not even a disappointing 2nd,3rd,4th try is good enough to discourage anyone. All the best. However, could you share any tips or ideas on how to get study materials and prepare for the exam? I have checked BC sample tests, but I feel I need many more to practice with over and over. Thanks for your help. 1 Like |

kike100: I don't think you should be unduly worried. Each application's journey is different. There are June AORs that are still waiting for their medicals to be passed. The important thing is to get a successful outcome. Keep your mind at rest and hope for the best. Wish you speedy PPR. 4 Likes |

bbaby84: I have to retake it. I'll enter the pool meanwhile with the 1st result (with PNP in mind), remark the 2nd and register for another test. It was those yeye T,F, NG and Matching Heading questions o. Trying to save time, I had left 2 stubborn questions unanswered, planning to return after but still ran out of time before I could go back. Just as I wanted to guess and put something down, the invigilator, who was close by, stopped us and started looking in my direction. I was caught between either obeying the rules OR putting down something (with whatever consequences to follow) but unfortunately the 'good boy' inside me prevailed. It was very painful considering it was this same Reading that made me retake in d 1st place. My hands were literally on my head as they collected my answer sheet. I was demoralized and just managed to pull through the Writing section. In fact, one voice inside me said there was no need continuing with the test. I just taya! With that I knew I had goofed but was expecting I wouldn't get more than another 4 answers wrong. Unfortunately, BC thinks otherwise. 1 Like |

nkigirl: Hi @nkigirl , its okay for the funds to remain in your husband's account but you will attach an LOE from him. However, there are people that prefer that the funds be transfered into their account which will still require an LOE from the husband anyways. So either way is fine. |

Please gurus in the house, I just received a request letter from CIC with the following content: We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents: 1XXXXXXXX0 - My Name: MILITARY RECORDS -EXXXXXXXX0 Military Records: You have identified previous service in the military. Please complete the attached form and provide a copy of your military booklet. If you were exempt, please provide official proof of military exemption from the relevant authority. This must be received at this office by: This must be received at this office by: 2017/07/31 Don't really understand what they mean. And there is no attached document to fill. Are they referring to my NYSC (maybe I mistakenly put it as military service)? And would my NYSC certificate fly? Thanks |
