1) IF you have Oyo empire in yorubaland before the coming of the white man then that's your name.It doesn't matter if it's a Kingdom or a country.

You just called the name Oyo Empire, i am glad you have learnt that part of your history!!

2)Do u saw where I wrote "(They said) Mongo Park discovered River Niger" --- This is to show u my doubt for the so called discovery. Because our people in Anambra has been using the river thousands of years before the coming of Mongo Park. And we have indigenous name for the river. Not "River Niger"
My point there was to show u that the first use of the Word "Niger" in west Africa came from a white man Mongo Park

Your doubts and convictions are not anybody's problem the facts are there for those who have the requisite IQ to carry on, not for those who can barely reason it through.
The portion of the Niger river your for fathers assessed and what ever name they called it can not be adopted for the third longest river in Africa, because the river cuts across so many clans, Dialects and several countries, the length and breadth of the river must adopt a name different from all tribal encumbrances else you risk a generation that will lay claim to it in the future, this is common sense!!

An Assortment of Kingdoms, Dynasties and clans in West Africa will not adopt a tribal name, else in the future one generation will lay claim to the whole territory, that's why despite all our ethnic tongues, we still adopted a lingua Franca.
If Nigeria was not used and oyo Empire was adopted after the Amalgamation, in the future, yorubas will claim it, to avoid that, lord Lugard did the needful. Mungo voyaged before the berlin conference and later the Amalgamation so the chronology is as follows, first, the River niger, then the Niger area. it is so shameful that at your age you question empericals that common sense can deduce

3) You first said the name Biafra is Portuguese so the burden of proof is on you.So Prove your assertion by telling me what the word Biafra means in Portuguese and I will concede victory to you.

I am sure you just heard it today that Biafra is portugese, don't bother asking for proof, that class is way beyond your pay grade, the last time i checked, the class aint free. So jumping out from a dustbin to ask for free classes ain't your right, it s a privilege!!
Biafra was coined from the "bight of Biafra" inspired from the mispronounciation of a Town called "Mafra" in Southern portugal, by returnees from Fernando po. just like Lagos was coined from a mispronunciation of a city called "Laos" in portugal, the portuguese arrived here before the british.

I don't debate with slow..pork ..I will pieces u

I only helped your education, now you can go and help Nnamdi Kanu, he is still in the wilderness where I rescued you from. i will surely not debate with you, i will just make you regret your wasted years in your "umunede" roofless classrooms.

You are a lost cause. You are irredeemable!

1) Are you a dog? Why are you defending the name given to you by your master?

Your real name is Oyo or Oduduwa.Answer it.Why are u ashamed of your name?

In the east,we are Biafra and are proud to bear it.

The people in Midwest can form a country and called it Bini.Likewise the north can have their country named Arewa. That's their indigenous names.

How many country in Europe was named by Africans?

2)Your justification of Europeans naming all of us Nigeria show your level of intellect. I never knew I was debating with a 21 century slave. Why didn't the Europeans leave us in our various kingdoms? Are we complaining ? There are many little countries in Europe like Estonia, Lithuania, Luxembourg etc infact Luxembourg is not up to a million, less than the population of Bayelsa state.

3)You made an assertion that Biafra is Portuguese and u are asked to prove it.You started crying like a baby hahahaha Lol

your mental entropy is fast losing kinetic Energy as the pages roll by, it is not my fault, it is a natural burden placed on the academically inept, I will do my part to rescue one out many from the clutches of kanu.

How many country in Europe was named by Africans?

This is a question I expect from someone who is yet to be admitted into a secondary school, I understand that kanu's fan base are mostly artisans though. Egypt though one of the earliest civilizations was not really a projective force so it may not be so accurate to refer to it as a world power. A nation or state that, through its great economic, political and military strength, is able to exert power and influence over not only its own region of the world, but beyond to others. Have you heard such capability was wielded by any African country in modern and ancient history? that is what it takes to project your influence beyond your shores and name countries, if you don't have it, shut the fvck up!!

2)Your justification of Europeans naming all of us Nigeria show your level of intellect. I never knew I was debating with a 21 century slave. Luxembourg was still a former colony of the Netherlands after the congress of vienna, so I wonder why Nigeria becoming a former colony of the british is giving you erectile dysfunction. Britain conquered all our colonies and imposed upon us a type of rule we have never seen or heard before, any attempt to question their rulership and tax regimen was met with instant death, except a few countries like Ethiopia, nobody in Africa resisted the British, french and portuguese hegemony.
They conquered the kingdoms before they formed their own government, why are you asking to keep an already conquered Empire?
Where they allow you some kind of minimal self rule, you are still a vassal of the british Empire, Our oyo empire conquered some areas in Benin republic are you not aware? so what is the big deal in Britain conquering the oyo empire? bros your questions are strange, how old are you?

3)You made an assertion that Biafra is Portuguese and u are asked to prove it.You started crying like a baby hahahaha Lol

Not to worry, I am sure you want to learn that part so desperately, I can see you have very little knowledge about the Biafra you are dying for, I don't expect you to know a proof when one is staring you in the face!!

What I have to say about it goes thus;

1)You are not educated enough to understand the inspiration or circumstances that lead to national nomenclature. The national Anthem of the United states was inspired by a war effort so its unsurprising why you see words like Bombs, rockets in its lyrics. Nigeria was inspired by Geography. If you had any education, you will realise that the two last countries on the river Niger basin inspired their nomenclature. Nigeria and Niger republic with Niger a state in Nigeria.

2) You are too dumb to realise that the problems of Nigeria has nothing to do with its name or its origin.

3) Bight of Biafra was equally a Portugese nomenclature, transiting from a British Nigeria to a Portugese Biafra doesn't remove the shackles of your European masters, you are just too dumb to realise that.

4) it takes sound education to draw logical comparisons, that you lack, your pitiable condition has reduced you to a spanner in the hands of the London Lunatic.
Take heart bro!!

Now that you have gotten the basics, can you tell us where the name Igbo was derived from and what inspired it. You guys (IPOB) are embarrassing igbos with ignorance.
This is the worst time to be a sane igbo man.
go and sit down, you are talking nonsense! The right word is Niggar area, which means place of darkness and evil, from the word niggar, now what happened to the other river, called Benue, if the wench had said benuenigaria, voila! You would have been right?

Did you even read by post, "the Bight of Biafra was named after the city of Mafra in southern Portugal". Also, the name of the River Niger likely comes from the Berber phrase ger-n-ger meaning "river of rivers".

The Portuguese named it the Bight of Biafra in the 1400's, the labeling of the name Biafar in present-day Cameroon was due to the Bight which was named after the city of Mafra in Portugal.

Sometimes I beg to understand the plank of argument of most Nigerians. The point of contention by Kanu is that name of Nigeria and its national anthem were handed to Nigerians by the British. Whether they were inspired by war or geography is totally irrelevant. Again, the moronic Nigerians should cease to mention Nigeria in their often silly comparisons with USA.

A VERY POOR LOGIC

Bini empire and Zamfara empire appeared on ancient Africa because that was the indigenous names the people there answer.

Why was the case of Biafra not the indigenous name the people there answer? But Portuguese ?
