The only season Mikel didn't play a match chalobah was still behind Matic, Kante, Fabregas. So how did the club sacrifice chalobah chances for Mikel ?? As usual conte have said it all.. lordfalcao: |

lordfalcao:Another nonsense One minute you are here supporting Conte on Chalobah's sake because Bakayoko is a lot more experienced and has played over 100 games for Monaco while Chalobah played in division 2 The next minute you name Asensio, the same Asencio that Madrid bought for peanuts and played ahead of James and Morata with over 100 UCL apps combined...You see your life? That is a club promoting a youngster despite having James and Morata on the bench Let us assume that our youth(back to back youth UEFA champions) are not good, are out players as good as the ones on Madrid bench If they are not one Asensio's level that shouldn't stop them since Willian,Pedro aren't on James and Morata is level......... What a minute,Willian might not even on Asensio's level so WTF are you saying? 4 Likes |

Need some info is der a right wing back better than Moses (not speculation wud like to know d person's last season's stats) I know Chelsea don't desperately need Sandro but @ £60m (wish it wud reduce to £50m) considering mendy was sold for £52m seems okay (love Alonso's game wud hate to see him on bench but if matic is sold for £50, Alonso might play well in his midfield slot maybe better Dan matic) Chelsea have done pretty well signing 4 players in 3weeks but it's been a week now no concrete info (reliable sources) |

The good folks at The Telegraph are reporting that Conte has spoken to Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti about the prospect on landing Renato Sanchez on loan this summer. Good addition I say. Speak of squad depth. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by BlueAngel444: 11:32am On Jul 28, 2017 |
Chelsea wants to sign an English international, Conte says he would like to have kane (very unlikely but u never know) , some say it's Ox and Barkley and another Ali... Then Sam said something infuriating, dat if RLC has left Chelsea five years ago he would have been like Ali, that's BS, Ali made a wonderful entrance into Epl when given the opportunity with his performance. Then was it Chelsea's style of play dat prevented his development (even Renato sanchez didn't break into a title winning squad n definitely it isn't because he lacked potential) Ruben is an OK player, even Pobga focused n forced his way into Juve first eleven not because they lacked midfielders. Has RLC ever performed better than d first team midfielders?

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Griffon(m): 11:52am On Jul 28, 2017 |
Ibime: Can't be worse than paying 33m for a forward only to make him Costa's understudy. Sanchez will have a role to play here. It's four competitions for us this season, we need a fat squad. The only question is where would he fit in? He is too much of a runner to compete with Cesc and co in the CM, so I am seeing this bwoy giving Pedro, Willian and Hazard a run for their money down the flanks. |

I tried checking something because of all the noise people make about club academic graduates not being promoted to first team. Correct me if am mistaking, the number per team with consistent (in first eleven) appearances last season of players graduated in the past 3years Not youth players bought by the club, consistent with @least 30 appearances Top ten teams in the world Real Madrid 1 Barca 1 Chelsea 0 Manchester City 0 Juventus 0 Bayern 0 PSG 0 Manchester United 1 Arsenal 0 ATM 1 nt sure |

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by lordfalcao(m): 12:52pm On Jul 28, 2017 |
bigkesh:you see how you love to spew nonsense all the time. You are trying to use Mikel as a scape goat for chalobah stalled development but that logic already failed before arrival. Mikel all his career in Chelsea have never been first choice in midfield except maybe in 2012, despite playing alongside mildfielders like Essien, makelele, ballack, deco, lampard and others.. Even a midfielder like oriol romeo, MCeachran who looked as better mildfielders than chalobah found it hard to make it that they had to leave for a better playing time. Now replace Mikel who has been playing most of his Chelsea games from substitute with Chalobah and tell us how chalobah could have developed. So stop using cheap logic that won't work here. Asensio and dembele are one of the best u21 wingers out there. Musonda is not on the same level with them. Why asensio and dembele are stealing the show with little minutes, musonda is struggling to play a full season at real betis and still aspiring to become an adama traore . so don't compare them because if asensio and dembele are in Chelsea ATM they won't be going on needless loans. On the remainder of your post i don't found any valuable point in it.. Because if you can tell us that: Kennedy is x4 the LB Alonso is Victor moses a better winger than Pedro and William combine. Chalobah is a better midfield than Matic Or rather musonda a better winger than pedro. Why wont I take I agree that William is not in asensio level 5 Likes 1 Share |

lordfalcao: In a 3-5-2 format Sanches, although not the perfect fit, is certainly a better option than Fabregas. The fluidity in his game will ease pressure on Bakayoko and Kante, while also providing the necessary support to the top two. With the excessively creative Eden Hazard likely to be paired with Alvaro Morata up front, Sanches could be a decent foil. Moreover, Conte has already proven his ability to teach players unfamiliar roles. Sanches looks like an ideal person to be moulded into that spare midfield position. At his age as well, he will probably pick up things much quicker than Fabregas, for example. With a loan deal, the Blues will also have a year to evaluate whether he is suitable in the long-term. Given the wealth of talent currently in the German capital, Bayern may be vulnerable to a tempting offer. If everything goes to plan, Chelsea could set up their midfield for the next decade. |

lordfalcao: Is Asencio a regular? Was Thiago a regular at Barca? Is Holding a regular at Arsenal? Is Batshuayi a regular That ends that dumb logic right there It is so much better to keep shut your mouth if you don't know facts In his first 6 months,Musonda was the best young player in Spain,I think that includes Asencio When he went for his second spell they changed the coach to a more defensive one and he was fighting injuries But then again,What do you know? If Madrid offer Willian/Asensio swap,Willian will be on the next flight to Spain Asap 1 Like |

Chelsea won't be signing any more strikers or attacking players (if richalison then to be loaned) has hinted 3-5-2 the two being 1 striker (we have two) and one supporting striker (Hazard, Pedro n maybe Willian. Alex Sandro contains similar traits of both Alonso and Moses. Last season, Sandro played in both left back (17 app) and was deployed in a wing back position (15 app). Furthermore, Sandro enjoys tackling, attempting 2.9 tackles a game according to WhoScored. This indicates that Sandro has the flexibility and is comfortable in playing in both positions, which appeals to Conte’s style of play. Attacking mentality Although primarily a defender, Sandro can also provide an attacking threat when needs be. Sandro was called upon by Juventus to play higher up the field and was once used in the forward line. Furthermore, Sandro scored three goals and provided four assists in Serie A last season, which shows he can be as dangerous going forward as he is marshalling the defence. Additionally, Sandro enjoys taking on players and is known putting in crosses from the flanks, which is ideal for any hit man in front of goal. From a passing perception, Sandro has completed just under 85% of his passes in 2310 minutes of Serie A football. This signifies he has composure on the ball and has the ability to pick out players with his passes. A proven winner It is not just his playing style that entices Conte, it is also the winning mentality Alex Sandro offers. To date, Sandro has won titles in Italy, Portugal (FC Porto), while also picking up the Copa Libertadores while at Santos. He also reached the Champions League final last season, which should provide pivotal European experience for Chelsea’s return this coming season if Sandro joins. Although this feature is not primarily essential for Conte and Chelsea, it does indicate that Sandro has the assertive to be a champion and can cope with the pressure that comes with it. Is he worth it? With the massive price tag on his head, one must ponder the question is Sandro worth it? From an idealistic perspective, no as his value seems excessive. If Sandro had the same experiences and skills five years ago, he would be valued around 25-30 million pounds, which would be a more realistic price. However, giving the fact the inflation of transfer fees in the current window and Juventus not willing to depart with Sandro cheaply (due to the loss of Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan), this price tag seems acceptable in this current market. Curiously, with reports suggesting Juventus are interested in Chelsea player Nemanja Matic, one must wonder can a cheaper deal be struck between the two clubs. Are there alternatives? Despite their continuous pursuing of Sandro, they are other “cheaper” alternatives who can fit the bill at Stamford Bridge. One is old boy Ryan Bertrand, who was linked with Manchester City earlier in the summer. Bertrand has come off an impressive season at Southampton, where he reached the League Cup final and was named in the PFA team of the year in the 14/15 season. Additionally, Bertrand receives regular England call ups and also provides the home grown quota, which would appeal to Chelsea. According to various reports within the British media, Southampton would demand between 30-40 million pounds for the player. This would save Chelsea around 20 million in transfer fees. Verdict Overall, the abilities of Alex Sandro fits a team like Chelsea. He he can play in more than one position and has an attacking mentality that would add depth and fire power to the Chelsea squad for the upcoming season. Additionally, he has played in teams that defended titles, something Chelsea will be seeking to do this season. This would be the signing of the summer. |
