whats the difference between basic and diluted EPS

To put it in lay man's term that you will understand;

Basic EPS is the ratio you get when there is no change in a company's ordinary share capital. It's calculated by dividing Profit after Tax by the Number of Existing ordinary shares issued.

Diluted EPS simply means the share capital has changed. It can either be an increase or decrease in the company's ordinary share capital. Increase results from convertible debts,e.g bonds, preference shares converted to ordinary shares, issuance of share warrants and, rights issue . A decrease is when a company repurchase its own shares technically referred to as Treasury stock.

Some how year end is fair for them. Presence of foreign interests always sustains their price. Look at 7up result and price.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by stcool(m): 3:43pm On Jul 28, 2017
My take on this Tier 2 banks especially the family controlled once like Diamond and FCMB is that CBN needs to take it from them and merge them or allow experienced technocrats manage them.

Where father is leaving and hands over to the son, should be discouraged.

When you talk, people think you are talking a stock down. But this is NSE, and most of this ceo's don't care, likewise you should not spare them when buying any stock. Any company that does not do well would meet equal price adjustment.

I have FBNH but does not mean I would support directors taking rash decisions affecting my investment. If you cant perform like GTB/Zenith and claiming biggest then park well.
