Humility017: Exactly... I know the best should be between the post ... Agreed... I don't have fuss about that... All am saying is if you want to drop a player drop the player without ruining their career... Whether he keep for Nigeria or nothing... His life moves on... It's a great challenge for him to be the best... And I'm sure... He's going to come out of it to be the best... Saw some of his training in his club and I can tell you... He's not doing bad... Who ever will be in goal post will be in goal post... The coach knows better... 2 Likes |

Mickael2: I got you... Am not saying is a fantastic player but still better than many goalkeepers we have at this moment.... I don't have issue for the coach to drop him ... All am saying is this... Is not cos someone made a "school boy"" error then we should finish his career with our mouth... We can clamour for him to be dropped not to destroy his career as if we have a personally issue with him.. Modify :Akpeyi is a okay good keeper and is better than most of the home base we have at this moment... I was watching Npfl between 3sc and kastina Utd then you will know that we don't have quality goal keeper... Is better we wake up to reality... The only mistake I can say the coaching crew made was not using the so called "best " in training camp during the friendly... Bottom line... The coach knows the best... If you want to wait till 70 mins cos you want to hear is a miracle working God.. Then You might be shock to hear all we are saying give us more goals.... Happy weekend!!! |

My brother. True talk! Me I just want Rohr to succeed. Because I have respect for him and appreciate how he started. But going by our arrogance, I wont shed one tear if we are humiliated again. Personally I think the earlier you accept the reality of where you are presently, the better your chance of making progress. I think what Nigeria and Nigerians need is a reality check without sentiments. We are not what we are claiming. We are down there in so many matters.. Even football. In the next CAF awards, I doubt we will win as much awards as we won last year. Going by our noise and population and our focus on JUST football, are we not suppose to be dominating Africa AT LEAST?? And Nigerians said Amen to that..lol.. A nation of millions of praying warriors.. who e don epp? As the saying goes "it's only God that will save this country" -- But that's how we get it all wrong. God is not partial. if HE were, we would have been qualifying for all world cups and AFCON and would have won the WC since... You don't plant oranges and expect mango. While others where investing time and money on football development, we've been busy doing something else and expecting miracles on matchday. Don't forget we prayed against SA. so go on and pray again when we tackle Cameroon. The outcome will still be the outcome soetanoreoluwa: |

I sure..know he gonna excel in Belgium and hopefully he will be in Russia... amongst the many things I love about him....are his gradual rise to stardom...he surely does have a good and a non greedy handler.... secondly...I really don't doubt his age...being that he once played in under 15 competition for nigeria |

Lordabas:and somebody will say here....that he should start ahead of awaziem...who is busy playing good football wit nantes..of France ligue 1..... omeruo problem is greed likewise his agent...the debacle almost forbid Chelsea from signing him then...after his agent delayed his proposed loan move to the Dutch league then..... same young man rather than opt for a permanent tranfer now to a moderate club that will guarantee him regular playtime and avail him the opportunity to develop and establish himself... he fancy...constant loan spells just to remain a Chelsea player |

Humility017: the problem is that Awaziem himself isn't playing for Nantes either. Their 2(3?) friendly games to date he hasn't played so what's the point? Then also, the match was played last season when Omeruo was starting matches back to back, so what is happening now isn't affecting what we said then 1 Like |

Humility017: I think not really, I have been following Nantes because of Awaziem, they have played 2 games that I followed, except maybe there is a third match they played then Idk. However Omeruo has been playing games too, trust me he is going to move out, there are many clubs looking for him just that he wants to stay match fit for Cameroon next two? weeks and I don't see anything wrong with that |

Icon4s: but Osaze hasn't scored 2 goals, he has scored 13!!! Wait, thirteen and not in one game but continously. And before you start saying it's the Indonesian league so how come nobody else is scoring at that rate there if it is so easy? If the league is whack then how come Essien's team(Ashley Cole is in the same team too) is losing since he can just pick up the ball, beat 10 players plus GK, sit on the ball then use his head and roll it in because the league is easy 1 Like |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mickael2(m): 8:07pm On Jul 29, 2017 |
This I can agree with. Our coach has only been here for a short while, he should have a trusted core, there are some positions you just don't change for the fun of it. When Ferdinand became a relatively poor player, Fergie kept on playing him because of his partnership with Vidic(that cost Evans his proper development and game time) but that's how the defence is, you can be good individually but a bad partner will make you look like crap Humility017: 1 Like |

Anybody who calls for an older player should substantiate it. Let it be a logic based discussion. Trying to rubbish their call with with comments like this looks elementary. We know that the likes of Emenike are not playing in an overage grade tourney like the start 6 tourney, but against active players and are still performing. I've never been an Emenike fan as he has never been a high scoring striker, but he doesn't crumble at the big stage.. Watching his recent goals, I must say he is a class in his own right. And I think he will bring the needed experience in attack and ruggedness against Cameroon. If someone says they want Osaze, then let's have a healthy debate on that. Obafemi Martins also.. but please let's not make comments that makes it seem like these players careers are finished. One, it shows we do not appreciate their immense contribution for us all these years (having the same spirit as our football officials... I guess it's a Nigerian thing). Two, it's very misleading, as these players are still holding their own and not playing as if they cannot run like Yak did just before he stopped playing actively. Three, it's poor choice of reasoning to even compare the likes of Emenike, Osaze etc to retired players who cannot play and perform in an active league. Humility017: |

Mickael2: Poor analogy. Evans was pure refined crap. There was no way he could lace and out of form Ferdinand's boot. Evans was just there based on community slot. Did a young Ferdinand need proper development before he blew? He was raw talent that Evans at a young age never had. |
