A coach can have core players if they are quality players. If they are not, the coach has to keep building by hunting for the best in each position. If the coach is not convinced that his core players are the best in every role, then he is doing himself harm having core players.

Nigerians we sure do know how to rubbish people easily or dismiss them prematurely. And we do that to ourselves even more.

there is no logical way to argue an Odemwingie recall.

I can't believe some people are even considering recalling him because he has 13 goals in Indonesian league, freaking Indonesia! I could score 13 goals in Indonesian male football league and I'm a skinny girl, how the hell does Odemwingie doing it make him a classy footballer?

It is pathetic to even consider calling him up when we have a host of young boys pulling similar feats in far more respectable leagues.

I would rather take a player in NPFL than consider an old goose in Indonesia.

come on bro...please let's leave osaze alone...he has retired since...
we need give young players chance to play good football and build the requisite confidence that is required....
presently Dennis Bonaventure is playing good football and likewise others...these young lads needs these cap than osaze....and others who already passed their prime

But Osaze said he is working towards playing at the World Cup and we have always known that Osaze performs better for Nigeria than his clubside, so if he is doing so well there, what do you think he will do for us?

For clarity purpose, I am clamouring for the recall of Enyeama, Osaze and Martins to replace Ezenwa, Oshimen and some other dead weight(there are many of them there anyways)

Poor analogy. Evans was pure refined crap. There was no way he could lace and out of form Ferdinand's boot. Evans was just there based on community slot.

Did a young Ferdinand need proper development before he blew? He was raw talent that Evans at a young age never had.

do you want me to give you other options? What happened to Pique at Barca?

Pique had more talents in his toe than Evans whole body. At that time, Ferdinand was top notch and I doubt Pique had a problem being a reserve to Ferdinand. The problem was Ferguson being Sentimental and putting Evans ahead of Pique which made Pique leave.

The analogy did not hold.

This I can agree with. Our coach has only been here for a short while, he should have a trusted core, there are some positions you just don't change for the fun of it. When Ferdinand became a relatively poor player, Fergie kept on playing him because of his partnership with Vidic(that cost Evans his proper development and game time) but that's how the defence is, you can be good individually but a bad partner will make you look like crap

So you believe there are some core areas coaches should not change?

And you also believe we should not ruin career of our players??

Now I could see you are somehow contradicting yourself...
In a case of Akpeyi... Do you remember what you tag him? That he doesn't worth to be a pro player...

It's well sha...

Modify... Wether we like it or not with little time Rohr have spent on his job... Nothing is changing on his list... Am 95% sure... We can take it to bank... Aside Mikel, Moses and maybe ighalo or ideye (Now in Olympiacous in Greece) will be recall...

Let give the coach the chance to do his job instead of clamouring for players why cant we talk about tactics and thing to do to stop Cameroon...

As I said. Pique left because of pecking order. After Vidic and Ferdinand was a crap Evans before Pique. Despite Pique being better than Evans. The problem was not Ferdinand but a partial pecking order.

He had to leave to where he was sure he would get a fair and unbiased selection.

I have read that thing multiple times. What I am telling you is not article reading. During the course of the season, it was clear Evans was a preferred choice over Pique. It was one of the reasons that facilitated my decamping from Manchester United.

That was why Pique left. It was not just not breaking into the first squad. That article did not highlight events. It just says he would not get into the first team. The article did not also highlight that Pique scored two goals and did not meet the requirement for a Champions League medal. All Ferguson needed to do was to bring the young man in as a sub and he would have qualified for a champions league medal.

Pique left Manchester United bitter. It was not just breaking into the team. His heart left Manchester United.

Google and tell me Evans did not play in the Champions League that season

By the way, the talk is even you saying Ferdinand lost form but Ferguson stuck with him over Evans. That was way after 07/08 season. So bringing Pique into the matter is incoherent because at 07/08 Ferdinand was one of the best defenders in the World and does not fit into your losing form analogy.

That analogy does not hold because Evans did not have the talent to match Ferdinand. Ferguson stuck with Ferdinand because he was better than Evans. The Key word is better. Not core players.

Sharing a dressing room with Paul Scholes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ryan Giggs at such a young age was an amazing experience. I didn’t play as much as I would have liked but it was a masters degree in development both as a player and a person... Pique

This is dedicated to the Argumentators who feel a player can not develop if he is not playing regularly. Pique was not playing regularly but tagged his Development at Manchester United as a masters degree.

Almost every player had a bad day at the office against South Africa.

Akpeyi is taking out of the blame because he is a goalkeeper and just like defenders, their mistakes get highlighted more because it almost always leads directly to goals.

But he should have had the experience to not make multiple mistakes, and he made many on that day

The loss to South Africa was just another bad day in the office.

Let anyone caling for Osaze give reasons and we can go from there. I like to see video clips too. I love to hear people out.

That single reason that he is playing in Indonesia is not enough to call the call for him nonsensical especially as we know his pedigree in the past.

Again we are too quick to call a player finished. Osaze could be in China today and could maybe still do better than Ighalo.

Team building is a continuous process. I've made my case for Emenike especially is has to do with the Cameroon encounter. Clint Dimsey played his part in USA's recent Gold cup win despite being a veteran, this will in no way stunt the growth of the upcoming young players. These things are not black or white.

First if Enyeama comes back he will definetly take back the armband, there shouldn't be any rift there na, if your elder bro comes back from overseas, he will still take his own food before you in a communal gathering.

Presently Oshimen is dead weight, if we are losing 2-0 to Cameroon will you fancy Oshimen to salvage something? I will definetly fancy Osaze or Martins. You can't just invite all these players you mentioned for the game against Cameroon at the same time, they will all be integrated gradually, however we need proven goalscorers

Mikel went to the recent U23 tourney without playing the qualifiers, what does that tell you? Meanwhile incase you have been under a rock since, I have been saying invite him for the next game against Cameroon, how is that the world cup? Except if you are thinking that we have already qualified which is pure arrogance so your first point is kinda blurred, clear that up.

So Gyan playing for Ghana has caused an earthquake? Is he not even older than Osaze? Drogba was playing for Civ when he was in the turkish league and more than 35 years old too, has that caused a tsunami in CIV? These are African teams that have been more succesful these past few years what does that tell you?
