Twizzy30:Yes, it's a must you do the IIVC screening. But, you can't do yours now seeing that you chose LASU as second choice. The advertisement was made for aspirants that chose them as FIRST choice alone. Keep checking lasu.edu.ng to know when second choice aspirants will be eligible to partake in the screening exercise. |

Students of the prestigious *Lagos State University* came out in mass yesterday, July 29th to attend the *ANNUAL EDGE SERIES* with the theme "Building Sustainable Wealth Towards National Development" which took place at the Shell Hall, Muson Center in Lagos. According to our correspondent who was present at the event, it started by 10 and the program began with the proper explanation on the sub-theme *Green Economy* by the first speaker *Mr. Femi Oye*. The next speaker *Jennifer Uchendu* spoke on the sub-theme *Sustainable Development, Are We There Yet?*. She began her speech by telling a story of her years in Covenant University, as a student of Biochemistry who had no interest whatsoever in her course of study, before she was invited to talk on topic relating to it. She went on and in her speech saying "You need to track your success, know your failures and have a successful planning" she also added asking why we take religion over what really matters. The third speaker *Mazi Ukonu* after climbing the podium played a video of how waste plastic bottles are recycled and transformed into athletic jerseys. According to *Mazi Ukonu*, seven waste bottles make up one jersey, an height of creativity. After *Mazi Ukonu* was *Toyin Anjus Ademuyiwa*, she butressed on the fallacy that money does all. Followed by *Akintunde Oyebode* who spoke on *Opportunities and Challenges in an emerging Economy*. According to *Akintunde*, challenges tend to bring out opportunities. He added that high risks birth high returns, so there's need to take risks. The second to the last speaker *Jimi Tewe* happened to be an intriguing motivator. He outlined four tactics on how to achieve big, they are: √ Tell people about it √ Earn your potentials √ Appreciate people √ Manage resources He also added that if you tell your story well, you earn well. The last on the speaker list was *Mr Omotayo Dairo*, he was the eldest of all speakers.
