A quick one guys... In filling my EE form, can I put No for Wifey's post secondary education since she hasn't done ECA? |

Algbenguze: Fill it in. There's a place u will be asked whether she has an ECA for it. Select d appropriate response. |

IykeD: How long did it take you to receive ur ECA report? I mean from receipt of the second email. |

MummyJaygirls: You mean I can use the ECA which has my middle name with my degree certificate which doesn't have and there will be no issue? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by IykeD(m): 5:14pm On Jul 30, 2017 |
perks: These guys really delayed. They acknowledged my transcripts from my school on the 9th of June and sent the ECA on the 24th of July and I am sure that wouldn't have happened if not for my regular mails to them. I started the whole process on the 9th of May and my institution (non-Nigerian) did not delay in sending my docs to them. My advice, once they go beyond their timelines, bombard them with mails at least once a week. They may not reply all but it will be a constant reminder to them else, these guys can hold your ECA for 3 months. |

In my own opinion and not to get rejected for flimsy reason, I will suggest that you request ECA that carries names as on your certificate IykeD: |

walexlo78: I thought as much too but I just wanted the ECA to have my middle name as it is on my international passport. The scenario is like this: My Passport is: AAAAAA BBBBBB CCCCCCC My ielts TRF is as on my passport: AAAAAAA BBBBBBB CCCCCCC My BSc Degree is: AAAAAAA BBBBBBBB CCCCCCCC My Evaluated Certificate (MSc) is: AAAAAA BBBBBB My ECA report is same as it is on my MSc: AAAAAA BBBBBB But I wrote them to include my middle name so now it is: AAAAAAA BBBBBBB CCCCCCCC I just wanted almost all of my documents to tally with my passport but now I am looking at it from another angle. I am thinking of writing them again to remove the middle name. Just confused at this juncture! |

perks: Thanks. But did you mean I fill in 'No' or I fill Yes and respond accordingly to subsequent questions? |

iwillrejoice: Hi - if I were you, in all my online forms, I'll use the narration "Access Bank (formerly Intercontinental Bank)" AND then get all my documentation from Access Bank in the CIC format. I know someone who worked for Oceanic...and all her forms read "EcoBank (Formerly Oceanic Bank)". She got PPR last week. She got reference letters from ecobank. Note that she also added the little things she could get from Oceanic employment e.g. Payslips, office IDs & employment letter. 3 Likes 1 Share |

iwillrejoice: Just send a mail to them requesting for a reference letter. They have your records. As per name change for the organisation, they'll include it in the letter. So no need to worry. 100% sure |

I think she means you should say she has a post secondary qualification and then down the line you will be asked if she has an ECA for it then you respond accordingly. Algbenguze: |

40manlappy: Thanks. I am yet to commence the ECA. Don't I need to have obtained my ielts results first? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 9:00pm On Jul 30, 2017 |
No, you do not need to wait for that... You can commence the ECA alongside... It's a better option, so both results can get to you about the same time, the you can get into the pool quicker! All the best! owee: |

Based on both personal experience and observations, I advise that new applicants start their PR process with ECA rather than IELTS or at most simultaneously as they are independent of each other. My reason is mainly because ECA for most people even on this thread, I inclusive, can take several months to complete. It's timeline is highly unpredictable especially with Nigerian degrees as against IELTS with a definite timeline of 2 weeks after test date. Mine took 4 months and others take even longer if the university is not cooperating (God help you if your school is now on strike). Within that timeframe, one could easily have sat 3-4 IELTS tests with results ready. So guys, save yourself precious time by starting with ECA and don't make the same mistake many of us made. Just my 2 Kobo... 13 Likes 1 Share |

Zinger15: Do not use icas, It's IQAS that's adviced on this thread. If u have power for back and forth between ur school and Wes, Use Wes. If u can wait patiently for like 2-3 months without being able to communicate with staff of iqas, use Iqas. Both Wes and Iqas have their pros and cons, it's all up to u to decide which u will have patience in dealing with 2 Likes |

Hello everyone, Thank you for the good job being done here. From my perusal of this platform and other sites, I have understood that only my highest qualification needs to be assessed. But I need clarification on the questions below and I will be grateful for your prompt response. 1. Do I have to forward only my highest certificate and transcript (MBA) to WES or i need to forward my first degree certificate and transcript as well ? Kindly note that I registered only my MBA for assessment but in the confirmation mail sent to me by WES, they listed the required documents as a. Clear, legible photocopies of all degree certificates issued by the institutions attended. b. Academic transcripts showing all subjects completed and all grades awarded for all years of post-secondary study. 2. What is the place of CITN and ICAN in this whole programme? Are they irrelevant? Can these professional qualifications be considered for 2 or more degree ? Thank you. |
